My wife and I both live in Geelong and really wanted to do the full length of the famous bellarine rail trail but we knew it was a stretch to do the full length return of almost 80km. We ended up renting a couple of e bikes to help us remove the physical barrier so we could enjoy the scenery. Oh boy how right we were in renting e bikes. The whole experience was painless as I booked online and opted to pick up the bikes from the bike shop instead of paying a little extra to get them delivered. I had a bike rack but there are options to rent a bike rack as well within the same transaction which is quiet convenient. Once we got the bikes we started at the Geelong Showgrounds and travelled all the way down to Queenscliffe. I won’t talk more about the experience as I think you need to experience it for yourself. Thank you Rent My Bike for offering such an amazing service. The bikes we hired were proactively brand new top of the range. And for what we paid, it’s ridiculous value. Highly recommend. The guys at the pick up store can also offer tips on where to go and what to do. Oh and for those thinking the bikes may not last the distance, they absolutely do and then some! No range anxiety.

He took the time to explain us everything, ensured the bike heights etc matched our preferences & size. Very good communication all along. Martyn & I hired an ebike each with one spare battery between us - we are in our late 70s and biked with Alltrails for 1200km around Tasmania, with big hills and daily rides. After our first day of 85km my battery wouldn't charge. Both tour guides agreed the internal battery charging terminals were damaged. That left us without a spare. 10 days later Rentmybike said the battery was fixed & charged. But once again it wouldn't charge after a day of riding. Consequently we had no spare & couldn't complete every day riding. We were extremely disappointed that John (Rent my bike) said we would still have to pay & even charged us for a replacement battery! Our impression was that John was more intent in avoiding responsibility, rather that addressing the problem. He was like a second hand car salesman...selective and "careful with the truth". Not a person or company that I could recommend....quite the opposite....beware.

I recently hired an ebike for nine days from John at Rent My Bike Geelong. I received the bike in perfect order, and enjoyed a trouble free nine days of riding as a result. John was able to supply me all that I needed for this experience, including the e bike, the charger, a helmet, a bike lock, a puncture repair kit and pump. When I was finished, I just handed it all back over to John, no problems. I would thoroughly recommend Rent My Bike Geelong.

We arrived at the bike store and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The electric bikes were very well kept and modern. They came with a helmet, battery, ,lock, pump and repair kit if needed. We were shown how to use the bikes and also assisted by John in fitting the bike rack to the car. The range of e bikes available for hire was great as I’m 5ft 4 and my husband 6ft 6, we both got bikes that catered to our size. If you haven’t had a go on an e bike I would suggest you do, it has that added bit of power to cope with hills, great fun. I would recommend hiring with ‘ rent my bike Belmont’ Donna
