Trevor and the team at Melbourne Table & Chair Hire made the process of organising a function super easy - they were helpful, brought the hire equipment to and from the event, and provided all the table clothes we needed. The finished result was so elegant. Highly recommend!!!

We had to change our plans last minute due to weather conditions and they went above and beyond to make sure my son’s first birthday party went smoothly and it looked fantastic. These guys are just the best. We’ve used them often over the years. Their pricing is more than reasonable, the products they deliver are great, they always turn up on time and their staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We’ll continue to use Marcus and his team for all our events. If you need additional furniture or equipment for parties then you cannot go wrong using them. Can’t rate them highly enough!!

From the first contact, MT&CH were fantastic - Charlie was polite, helpful and knew his stuff (prices, availability etc.) He even followed up my order. I was able to pick-up and drop off with my own trailer and there were heaps of hands to help with the load and unload. Very professional and friendly to deal with - no fuss, everything I needed. Definitely using MT&CH again. If only everyone had this high level of good old-fashioned customer service!!

I recently used Melbourne Table & Chair Hire after another company let me down at the very last minute. They made it easy to re-book all of the equipment I needed and deliver that same day ready for the weekend, all of this was at a cheaper price than the company I had initially intended on using. On arrival the guys delivered and set-up the equipment as requested, they were open to layout suggestions and were happy to move things around to get the best look for our party. The guys were friendly and polite and the stock was clean and well maintained, much better than other companies we have hired from in the past. We would definitely recommend these guys, they helped make our party a success when it was very nearly cancelled altogether at the very last minute! Thanks for your great work, guys!

It is both surprising and disappointing that the most stressful part of my organising my wedding, was dealing with Melbourne Table & Chair Hire. I made a simple booking via email, 23 chairs for self-pickup and drop off. I was advised in my booking confirmation that pickup/drop off was available between 10:30am to 2:30pm and accordingly planned the days before and after the wedding around this. Then comes the day of pickup (wedding day eve). I receive a call from the company advising that I can only pickup after 1:00pm because they have a ‘busy morning’. While this did throw off a lot of the plans for the day and resulted in us having to check in to our hotel late, I thought ‘no problem, complications happen’. I should have been alarmed however, when they then proceeded to clean dirt off of the chairs as they loaded them into my car, however I turned a blind eye. The real kicker comes upon drop off of the chairs however. The morning of the drop off, I receive a call from the company advising that they need the chairs back by 12:30pm (2 hours before the prior agreed upon delivery window closes). We informed them that we would try our best and promptly checked out of our hotel early to attempt filling the request. In the end, we had the chairs ready for a 1:00pm drop-off, a whole hour earlier than our originally planned time to drop them off. However, this was not good enough for the team at Melbourne Table and Chair Hire. Despite the fact that we had bent over backwards trying to service a company that we were paying money to, this did not prevent the verbal onslaught that the owner gave me over the phone. It was as if I was an employee who hadn’t shown up for a shift. The owner then attempted to emotionally blackmail me, saying that I was going to make him late for a funeral. Whilst I am sympathetic that he had to go to a funeral, if the chairs were going to be required earlier then this had to be communicated much sooner. If we were told on pickup that the drop off time needed to be changed, we would have been able to oblige. Overall this business failed to keep to its agreed upon times on two occasions, failed to have the chairs in a clean and ready to use condition on pickup, and has verbally abused me over the phone.
