Amy McDonald Celebrant

Amy married us twice. Once in secret, and once with our loved ones present. Even though we didn't reveal that we were already legally married until later in the evening, Amy was totally on board with officiating a ceremony that met all the legal requirements, and kept our guests engaged (and unsuspecting haha!) We opted for an intimate and non-traditional wedding, with no 'big reveal' of the bride, no aisle to walk down. Instead, we greeted our loved ones fully dressed, mingled and chatted and connected, before inviting everyone to join us in a reflecting on what love meant to us. Although Amy was our celebrant, she was part of the group, participating fully. As each of our guests one-by-one offered us a blessing, a wish for our marriage, Amy witnessed and facilitated it all, with love and care. When it came to the ceremony, we could not have asked for a better person than Amy. She was warm, loving, generous and fully present. Everyone appreciated Amy's contribution to our special day. How lucky are we?!

Amy is a celebrant like no other. She married my wife and me on the beach, and through her words, actions and planning, she transported us and everyone present, into the most special moment in time. Amy was involved, understanding, and creative, throughout the entire prepartion process, until after the ceremony. Her experience, warmth and generosity showed at every moment. We will be forever grateful to Amy for making that day an incredible one in our lives. I can't recommend Amy enough. If you're wondering if she should be your celebrant, the answer is 'yes'.

Amy was my celebrant for my wedding in Oct 2025. She was fantastic from start to finish. She was communicative, answered all of our questions, gave us helpful tips for our vow writing and made sure the actual ceremony flowed perfectly. She made the process super stress-free and the ceremony was beautifully personalised to us - Amy’s professional and kind/happy nature was the cherry on top. I am writing this review on the anniversary of our wedding day and I am thinking back to how lucky we were to have Amy to help us create such a beautiful day that we will never forget. Getting married is one of the most profoundly special things we can ever do and I would recommend you to trust Amy with your special day. She was able to create the atmosphere that we had always hoped for which set for tone for the whole ceremony and celebrations.

Amy was the celebrant at our wedding in 2024 and I could not have dreamed of such an stress-free and meaningful experience without her. Amy made sure all of the legal stuff was handled without us even needing to lift a finger, and asked the most beautiful questions to create our ceremony. My wife and I were so fortunate to be married by Amy. She has a way of infusing love into everything she does, and that was obvious before, during and after our special day. She was present and patient and made everything feel smooth and easy. You can simply tell when someone loves and takes pride in what they do, and Amy does just that.
