Beauty Stop (Tweed City)

I drove 40 minutes from my home, to treat myself to a manicure & pedicure at tweed city beauty stop. I had the services done, when I got home the same day, I realised that it hadn't be done properly and the colour wasn't set at all. It was sliding off my toes. I spent $140 for both services. I messaged the business on instagram, they asked me to come back in, unfortunately, I don't have a spare hour and a half of driving time + the time for the service to be re-done. I let them know that I couldn't and they didn't respond. I guess that's just money down the drain. Disappointing.

Editing to add in response to owner: these nails were done last Saturday 13/09/25, I have the bank transactions for mine and my mother's nails to prove it. My nails are average, I was up charged $55 from the quoted price and I have a really bad nail infection on one finger. Only one coat of glitter was done so it didn't achieve the effect I was after. I'll also need to do some filing at home to try neaten them up and fix the shape. I paid $125 for these.

This was my second visit to Beauty Stop, and once again, I’m really happy with my nails. Nicha did an amazing job—they're exactly what I wanted and turned out perfectly! She was also so lovely to chat with throughout the appointment. I really appreciated how clean and professional she was, wearing gloves and keeping everything hygienic. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Alice, Helen, Micha and Len are so professional, patient and have a great selection of translucent gel polishes and allowed trials of colours before deciding. Highly recommend and made my family’s weekend especially as lots of us travelled from Melbourne and overseas x

$170 for pedicure, gel nails (no manicure) and acrylic nail removal whereby she literally ripped the nails off using a nail tool where she shoved a pointed nail file up between my nail and the acrylic nail which took the top layer of my nail off and was so painful. 3 of my nails broke within the week as they were so weak. I’ve never had nails removed this way they usually use the foil and acetate method which doesn’t ruin your nails. Abysmal service and contemptuous staff. Could never recommend this place. Also very unclear on pricing I would NEVER come to one of these places and pay $170 usually but my hubby paid before I knew. Such a rip off and just ew 🤢

Was quoted $25 for a manicure with no colour then at checkout told $45. I mentioned this but they ended up arguing with me. Ended up paying the $45 which is the price for a manicure with colour because I didn't want to cause a scene. 2 stars because the manicure was quite nice but trying to gaslight a customer about the price quoted? Not cool.
