I don’t normally write reviews But your staff member at the Mac counter With the short blonde hair that worked on Monday the 6th of October is seriously rude she acts like it is a total inconvenience to serve you Will Definitely not be shopping there again She made both my sister and I feel like we were such an inconvenience to serve and when you’re paying $57 for a mascara we shouldn’t have been made to feel like it was an inconvenience for her to serve us.

I was very fortunate to book a make up appointment with Skye ( MAC ,Myers Pacific Fair ) last Thursday. I was so impressed with this delightful lady who was so skilled, professional and friendly.Skye transformed my face with her make up artistry and made me feel special.She is very talented and makes you feel at ease in her presence. MAC is certainly blessed to have Skye leading the way for the MAC team on the Gold Coast. Thank you, Karen Watt

I wasn’t going to write this review but I’ve still been thinking about my experience weeks later so felt the need to put into words. I had an event coming up and wanted to get my make up done, it’s not something I do very often. I have previously had my eye make up done at Mac Robina and absolutely loved it so I went in in person to book an appointment for the day of the event. When I stood at the counter the lady with short blonde hair seemed frustrated by my presence. When she eventually served me she continued to seem frustrated, I asked to book to have just my eye make up done for an event, she queried why I only wanted eyes done I told her that I haven’t had a good experience with people color matching my skin. She seems offended by that at told me she has 15 years experience and told me to book full face because she was confident she could do a good job. I hesitantly booked the full face make up appointment. A couple of weeks later I thought I might not have a lot of time before my event to get home and get dressed/hair done if there was traffic on the highway that day so again I went in in person to ask if I could come in earlier for my appointment. The same lady served me again with the same frustration and hostility towards me. She said the earliest I could come in was any time after 10.30 (original appt was at 11) I said do you need to change my booking in the system? She said no that it was her in that day and it would be fine. The day of the event is here. I arrive at my appointment just after 10.30 as I could see make up artist was again frustrated so I gave her a moment before I approached the desk. When I did go up to let her know I was here for my make up appointment, again she was hostile, she was frustrated that I was early, I reminded her that she told me it was ok to come early, said there shouldn’t have been any make up appointments made for this day because she was on the desk on her own, and that she will need ti charge me over time for my appointment if it takes longer than an hour. I was feeling really uncomfortable at this point. She told me to take a seat. She was uninterested in the dress I was wearing to the event and she was not even interested in the pictures of the make up inspo pic and the pic of how my make up was done last time by someone else. She just kept brushing me off. The MUA didn’t start my make up until after 11 even though I go there early as agreed. Starting with eyes, I could tell she was choosing colors that were nothing like the pictures I showed her and I re showed her the pictures to which she said, I have 15 years experience you need to trust me. She kept getting pulled away from doing my make up to serve customers and at this point I didn’t have the time to advocate for myself I just needed the makeup done to get out of there in time for the event. In the end it took 2 hours to do my make up! I actually have no idea if she charged me over time I just quickly picked some products and paid cash and left in a rush. When I got home I had a look at the make up in the mirror, the lips were very over lined and uneven and the foundation was absolutely awful, it was really un even and patchy. There was brush lines all down my neck were she hadn’t blended and my face was orange. The eyes were nothing like the pictures I showed. I literally had 20 mins to leave for the event so I made the last minute decision to wipe off all make up except the eyes and redo that myself. I was in an absolute frenzy and I’m just upset about my experience. I’m giving this a 2 star review because the MUA was nicer to me towards the end of the session. I otherwise would have given a 1 star!

Very disappointed with MAC Robina at DJ’s. I won't be using your products again or your make up service. August 20th booked year 12 formal makeup for my daughter’s formal being held 14th November. After a missed call that morning then returning the call 30 mins later, booked for 14th November 12pm. Excellent, very happy booked and sorted. 14th November rolls around turn up for 12 o’clock appointment. Advised by MAC manager that there is no appointment. She goes on to say maybe I had booked at Pac fair to which I state no. She asks if I received a confirmation text or email. I didn’t receive either, I didn’t know that I would be getting one a week out or I would have phoned to ask about my booking when I didn’t receive the text or email. She then goes on to say that she has no available appointments today as they are booked. That she is doing someone’s formal make up and she needs to get back to them. I advised I have the call logs that show I spoke to someone and was advised over the phone that the appointment was booked. She then goes on to state that the iPad crashed and had to be fixed so that may have caused the issues. She then stated it would have been good if I had called a few days out to confirm, that maybe then it could have been sorted. She then states she is sorry, but she can’t do anything about it today. I & my daughter are very upset, on the brink of tears as it is now too late to get someone else to do make up. MAC manager calls the DJ’s make up manager Chantelle, we both explain the situation and Chantelle being an amazing manager and communicator goes out of her way to help us. She asks the other makeup booths if they have time to do my daughters makeup. She then calls one of her staff asking if she can start early. Moana who works the Lancôme counter starts early and does my daughters makeup. She is an amazing makeup artist, talking to my daughter about her dress and the look she wants. Guides my daughter on ideas best suited to her skin colour and dress colour also taking into consideration my daughter does not usually wear makeup. Moana then went above and beyond and help stick diamante crystals in my daughter’s hair. I can’t thank Chantelle and Moana enough they saved the day, and my daughter was able to attend her year 12 formal looking fabulous. Thank you, lovely ladies Chantelle & Moana x
