Lovely relaxing morning again with Cathy & her team at NV Styles. Cathy’s knowledge & expertise makes this a great salon to visit, very pleased with my colour and cut, the quality of products used give such good results for weeks after my appointment and the back wash chairs have raised leg rests if required which further enhances your comfort while at the wash basin.

Rae and Amy provide amazing hair services for both my daughter and I. They are very knowledgeable and always take the time to listen, explain the process and answer any questions. The salon is very welcoming, comfortable and relaxing! We wouldn't go anywhere else 😊

I got my hair cut at Lady Boss Hair & Beauty in 2018 and I'm surprised to see that they're still in business. They let me leave with the worst haircut of my life, then tried to say that I cut my own hair this way to get a refund. I was leaving to go overseas and ended up at Stefans at North Lakes and they fixed my hair free-of-charge. I posted my experience on Facebook at the time to my friends and the owners publicly slandered me, calling me a liar & called on the phone to abuse me. It was extremely traumatic. The owner and her husband are absolutely vile human beings and they don't know how to cut hair. Photo attached speaks for itself. I went when they were still at North Lakes, but I doubt things have improved based on other reviews. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

My daughter had her hair done last week. The colour was not what she asked for. The placement of foils were so bad it looked shocking. I am most disgusted with the condition you left her hair. It has been over processed and snapping off. I have had to get half her hair cut off due to the damage. The another hairdresser was disgusted at the placement and damage that was done to my 15yo daughters hair.

My mum had a hair appointment booked for today. Unfortunately, she had to cancel after being admitted to the hospital that week. She called the salon in the morning to explain the situation, but the response she received was shocking. The hairdresser was rude, showed no concern for her well-being, and bluntly informed her that the deposit was non-refundable. Despite my mum calmly acknowledging this, she was surprised at how dismissive and cold the conversation was. Mum then asked if she could reschedule for next Thursday, but the hairdresser rudely responded that she would need a new deposit. Since my mum was in a hospital bed at the time, she didn’t have her card details with her. The hairdresser simply said, "Well, we can’t book it without a deposit," and hung up on her. This exchange was witnessed by nurses and a doctor who couldn’t believe how rudely my mum was spoken to. My mum went out of her way to let the salon know; she didn't have to being so sick, but did. She wanted to do the right thing and be respectful. When I heard what happened, I called the salon and spoke to Jess. At first, she claimed to be the manager, but I later learned from another nurse who had an issue with her in the past that she is actually the owner. Jess stated it was "store policy" not to refund deposits but then admitted they sometimes make exceptions for appointments on quieter days (Tuesday or Wednesday). This inconsistency was frustrating—policies should be clear and consistent, not subject to random changes due to days or when you feel like it. Jess then said they require 48 hours' notice to cancel an appointment. I reminded her that my mum didn’t plan on being admitted to the hospital and couldn’t possibly have notified them sooner. Jess excused the staff’s behaviour by blaming their busy schedule, which felt like yet another excuse. She also admitted that the deposit policy isn’t listed on their website—it’s only communicated verbally. Not only is that poor business practice, but it’s also legally questionable to withhold money based on a policy that isn’t clearly documented. To make matters worse, Jess implied that customers frequently lie about being sick or hospitalised to avoid losing their deposit. When I offered to have the doctor speak with her to confirm my mum’s situation, she dismissed the idea. This entire experience was deeply disappointing. Based on how they treated my mum and the dismissive attitude shown by the owner, I would strongly recommend avoiding this salon. They care more about money than their clients’ well-being, and their behaviour was nothing short of appalling. The business also said my mother had rung up prior that week to cancel twice; my mother only rang once to cancel, and that was when she was in the hospital and was able to speak on the phone after being admitted for the week. Maybe they should get their facts right, as she was not getting that full service done. They are still too proud and ego-driven to say "Sorry." By law a business needs to have their T&Cs on their website; they do not have this, which says a lot.
