Balcombe Estuary Reserve

Pram friendly. Beautiful n easy walkway. Was not crowded when we went on a hot weekend (everyone was at the beach instead). Spotted huge fish and wild Rabbits. Twisted and upside down gum trees were nice to see. Kids can have fun with chalk art on the wooden pavements(chalk pieces were kept there).

Great location for dog friendly walks. Most of the walk is along flat, well formed tracks and boardwalks. Close to the estuary for most of the main walk.

Good took the kayak from bridge upstream to oval nice easy paddle. Need to pick the time & tide as water level can be shallow in open mud flats.

Beautiful serene spot walking or birdwatching . Kookaburras were spotted today. A few benches along the boardwalk to sit and admire the peaceful creek . Fishing also possible from a few spots on boardwalk .

Fantastic be sure to grab some wood to life a fire in winter or cold days , there is a bbq area , mini pier for some fishing or duck 🦆 watching and a play area. You can also venture along the board walk along the river. See fish , turtles 🐢 and native birds.

Beautiful picnic area right by the Balcome creek! Open publicly accessible fireplaces here as well (bring your own firewood). There's a pier here for fishing. You have the beach very close by and this is the start of the walking track along Balcome Creek which goes all the way to the Briars wildlife sanctuary.

Beautiful walking trail with long and short options. Took the longer route and it was so scenic and easy on a nice day.
