Amarah and Co Hair Studio

My daughter recently had her hair coloured here. The colour she ended up with is lovely, but unfortunately it wasn’t what we booked nor what we discussed with the colourist at the beginning of her appointment. We booked a balayage, and she wanted to be noticeably blonder through the mid-lengths and ends while still keeping her natural root nice, lived-in, and low maintenance. I called the salon to chat through it and hoped we could come back for a quick fix… even just softening the top with a root smudge and brightening the ends with a quick wet-basin balayage. When I explained the concern, the owner/manager who answered the phone immediately transferred me to the colourist who did the service. This felt quite unfair to the staff member, as it put her in a defensive position rather than allowing management to handle the enquiry professionally and work toward a solution. Instead of discussing possible options with me, the conversation became focused on insisting the service was correct, despite the result not matching the booking type or the brief we had discussed. We didn’t feel there was much openness to understanding what we were trying to explain or in offering a solution. The end result isn’t bad at. It is quite nice. It’s simply not what we asked for, and we felt a bit dismissed when trying to talk through a resolution.

I visit the salon weekly and the team always greet me with a very warm friendly welcome. There is a synergy with the team and they work so well together. My stylist Dani does a fabulous job. I come out of the salon feeling amazing. I receive many compliments about my hair thanks to Dani. She knows exactly how I like my hair styled and continually delivers the best. Julie Taylor

Nikita is so warm and inviting. After such a long time of trialing different salons in the area, I can say I've finally found mine. Thank you so much for restoring my faith in finding an amazing hairdresser who doesn't charge outrageously for quality work. Shout out to Bella who was also so friendly and engaging. After moving to the area and in desperate need of a new hairdesser, I looked up all the reviews of the local hair dressers. Amarah and co stood out. So i booked in and chose Nikita to re-style my hair. I came away having just had the best experience in many years with a hairdresser. Nikita listened attentively to my needs and my hair has never looked better. Thank you Nikita and Amarah and co for giving me such great service and a great hair cut. I need not look any further, I've found my new hairdresser and salon.

I had an incredible experience with Nikita! She did an amazing job on my hair, taking her time to ensure everything was perfect. Her calm and composed demeanor made the appointment so relaxing, and she never rushed through the process. I’m thrilled with the results and will definitely be returning as a regular customer. Shoutout to Chloe , you can really tell how much pride she takes in her work. She was very informative about what steps to take to get a specific hair colour I wanted. On top of that really great attitude and works towards an end goal with you making sure to achieve the hair you want

The girls at Amarah are amazing. They always do a wonderful job. Coming in brown my first appointment after not being able to achieve it elsewhere was the highlight for me.. loving my blonde grey blend and don’t feel old with ash either. I was heard from the very start, it’s always a great vibe, a great chat and feel amazing every time I leave ❤️
