MECCA Carlton

A lovely lady in the city recommended visiting a Cafe in lygon Street this last week, she said down past MECCA on Lygon street! I'm a country gal and so still trying to navigate the big smoke and have only ever shopped MECCA online... so fair to say I was a little curious! I have found some gems online in the past and Mecca always seems to deliver class!! I wandered in to the store with my teen daughter and adult son. My girlie is a make up addict!! I thought she would be a little more excited but there was so much going on under one roof unlike little old Bendigo. It was very nice to be greeted at the door on our way in, and out.. especially without being jumped on or even worse.. ignored. It's nice to be valued even though we didn't purchase anything on this occasion. The store is a lovely space for make up lovers and perhaps, next time we wander down to brunetties, we can swing by again with abit more time on our hands.

Hannah is AMAZING! She did my glam makeup here and absolutely exceeded my expectations. She listened carefully to what I wanted, was very gentle, and made me feel comfortable the entire time. The final look was flawless, elegant, and long-lasting. I received so many compliments. Thank you, Hannah! 🤍

Today I received informative skincare by Agnes, I was impressed by her product knowledge and professional service. She gave me two samples to try on my skin at home. I will definitely be coming back to purchase the retinal product that suited my skin. Thank you, such a big price outlay I want to make certain it doesn’t irritate.

I had the BEST experience with Viv at Mecca Carlton today! She was so knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely lovely while helping me find the perfect medium-coverage foundation and primer. Viv took her time to understand what I was after, matched me beautifully, and explained everything so clearly. I walked out feeling confident, cared for, and excited to use my new products. Store is nice however no many perfumes options around to try unfortunately however I had a wonderful experience with Claire today. She was incredibly friendly, professional, and patient while helping me explore different perfumes. Claire really took the time to understand what kind of scents I like and guided me with great knowledge and enthusiasm. Her warm attitude made the whole experience enjoyable and personal. I had a great experience in store today when I needed to find some new foundation and concealer. I am absolutely clueless so had no idea where to even start, but I was served by Amelia, who took the time to find out what I needed and show me different options. I was so out of my depth buying a new concealer and needing to be shade matched, and Agnes not only helped compare shades to find the perfect one, but also took the extra time to walk me through skin prep, ways to set makeup for dry skin, and understood that I'm a 'less is more' makeup kind of girl and recommended me some incredible products that complemented my features and needs. When a product is liked ended up being out of stock she took the time to find a fantastic alternative. I've never had a better experience at a Mecca and I can't thank Agnes enough! I'll definitely be shopping at this location again.
