This is a big shout out to Cody at Fez Concept Salon in Balwyn. I had been with my old hairdresser for over 10 years but after three bad haircuts in a row I decided it was time to move on. I phoned Fez Concept Salon and Cody answered. He was very friendly and professional on the phone and very up-front about their services and the cost; even giving me a quote over the phone so there would be no surprises. When I went for my appointment, Cody listened carefully and explained his recommendations for my very fine and thinning hair. I left with one of the best haircuts I have ever had and a colour that looked natural and made me look much younger! I have since had three haircuts and colours with Cody and I have left with exactly what I wanted every time. Moreover, the cuts and colours are so natural and long-lasting that I haven’t had to go to the hairdresser as often. What I really like about Cody is that he is extremely professional and well-educated in all things hair. He is continually learning and striving for excellence, making him a leader in his field. Another bonus is that the salon uses Aveda products and is committed to sustainability. Had a long overdue hair appointment for a cut and brighten up of the colour. Did think I would have a really short hair cut due to my very fine hair, however Cody convinced me that a good cut of my original shape would give my hair body and make it look less thin and whispy. Well, he was spot on! With a great head of foils and an amazing cut my hair looks refreshed, thicker and much easier to manage. Fabulous work Cody! Thank you.

Cody did my cut and colour. It was my first time trying foils and since my hair was brittle from a health condition, he suggested being cautious and sticking close to my natural hair colour (black), with brown highlights. I appreciate that Cody took the time to listen to my concerns and that he ensured my hair was protected from further damage. The cut itself was well executed and I have received many compliments on my subtle yet sophisticated new hair colour. I will be back to try something with a bit more of a wow factor, once I’m recovered.

Great haircut by Cody, feeling happy with the look and feel. The chair/recliner was comfortable when having my hair washed, it had a massage setting and was relaxing. Not to mention the hair wash and massage by one of the salon ladies who was friendly and down to earth. It was great that I was also able to purchase Avedo products that they had in stock. Great first impression, thank you Cody and the team.

This was such a great experience for me, usually a very low maintenance hair person who cannot be bothered with the whole hair thing!! Cody was fab and really gets curly hair- transformed me from a messy alpaca to a pretty cool "Do" - And intelligent and amusing not patronising chat with the whole crew - even though I'm on the old duck side of the age range! I've found my new salon -Very happy, highly recommending a visit.

The best hairdresser I have ever had! I don't even need to blow dry my hair and it stays in shape. Sarah has done a wonderful job of colouring my hair too.
