The Gatsby Lounge

I celebrated my 20th birthday at The Gatsby Lounge, and I truly had a wonderful night! All of my friends had such a great time, the atmosphere, food, and overall vibe were amazing. The service was excellent, and a special thank you to Sandra, the manager, for being so helpful and accommodating throughout the night. Every staff member was lovely and made sure everything ran smoothly. I couldn’t have asked for a better celebration, highly recommend The Gatsby Lounge for any special occasion! 💖

We were there Saturday night enjoying our last date night together before we get married this weekend. The staff went above and beyond to make our night memorable and gave us a fabulous experience. Not only did they look after my who has dietary requirements, the service they provides was amazing. From the moment we arrived we were taken care of by the fabulous lady at the front and then Michael who was one of the best waiters we have had and we eat out a lot. The food was full of flavour and couldn't fault any of it. Will definitely be back again. Thank you 😊

I attended a wedding here on the weekend. The place looked good, but the service was terrible. Firstly, it took 10-15 minutes to lineup for a drink at the weddings private bar and nobody checked our wristbands. It also took 30+ minutes to lineup for a drink at the cocktail bar!! People who bought multiple cocktails spent up to 1.5hrs in the line instead of enjoying the wedding reception. Secondly, I thought it was weird when the food started to come out at 9 pm, I then found out that the bride and groom wanted it to come out at 8pm! Thirdly, during speeches we could barely hear anything because the other parties were so loud! Like annoying but would’ve understood, except we then told we were too loud during the other party’s speeches! Fourthly, glasses that were finish from our table as early as 730pm weren’t collected until 930pm. At that time there were glasses everywhere. Also they only gave one bottle of alcohol for the champagne tower which didn’t fill it. The thing that is mostly frustrating is that they knew there was going to be multiple parties in the venue, so why didn’t they plan for that? They should’ve had more people behind the bars, more in the kitchen and more floor staff so that all parties in the venue could’ve enjoyed their night as they all deserved. That’s what they’re all paying for after all!

Atmosphere and service was great, and food came out quickly, but the $65/pax shared chefs menu fell short with how small the portions were as they barely fed one of us. We were given 4 pieces of kingfish sashimi instead of 6 oysters as they ran out due to $1 oyster night the day before, which was tasty but didn’t seem fair. It was also slightly disappointing that nothing special was offered since the online booking wanted to know if it was for a birthday - other restaurants would offer a surprise wish or even a foc cake to commentate the occasion, but it didn’t seem like the waitstaff knew about it either. Maybe we’ll come back for just the cocktails next time as the Purple Haze cocktail was really tasty. They also have a custom cocktail order which is interesting. Cocktails here are fairly pricey ($20-25) but i reckon it’s more worth it than the food needed to enjoy the vibe in this place.

Upon entry, the place oozed elegance with a huge chandelier. Entry downstairs to bar and comfy plush booth couch dining area, chandeliers dimly lit and chilled music. We came to celebrate a birthday and chose the set menu for our group. Every dish (6 course plus dessert) served was superbly presented, beautiful and fresh flavorsome ingredients, so delicious. Staff were attentive and ever so accommodating. We decided to stay and enjoy the night dancing where it turns in a club when DJ starts his tunes. Definable recommend The Gatsby Lounge for a dinner or a dance.

Was definitely a good night out, shared plates were tasty in good measure and cocktails were fun and yummy. Good layout and cosy yet spacious. Booths gave a homely nostalgic feel. Great wait staff and what friendly chefs who frequently said hi. Recommend a group dinner and drinks lovely place and ambience.

Okay this is one of the first restaurants that I’ve left feeling so good about sharing with you guys! Tonight we dined at @thegatsbyadelaide for our late Valentine’s Day/Anniversary celebrations! The food was Ah-mazingggggg! We absolutely loved it and left so full! The service was also really good, they kindly made us mock-tails to our liking. I had a pineapple mock-tail and Daniel had a berry one! We enjoyed the flavours of both! The combinations of the different elements matched perfectly together which formed the most delectable dishes! We had - Wagyu Beef Carpaccio 🥩 - Cheeseburger Spring Rolls 🍔 - Fries 🍟 - Spencer Gulf Prawn Toast 🍤🍞 - Wafu Carbonara 🍝 - Wagyu Steak 🥩 We loved finding here, we definitely will be back!
