Werribee Uniting Op Shop

Very friendly staff, went to donate unused books which were sitting with me for a long time and they happily accepted this book donation, otherwise I have to throw them in the recycle bin. So happy that anyone else can use these books 🙂

An update on the experience from browsing here after having spare time from shopping in both pawn shops in Werribee. Although the store is spacious and clean despite a couple of years ago volunteers smoking in the store like what happens in some other stores, this place barely have anything for sale. The shop is too big for the amount of items for sale. Barely anything for sale mostly clothing and even clothing is pretty bare. Good prices for clothing, everything else is pricey. $20 for a box set (this is not a Cash Converters too where they pay $5 for a box set and you guys get them free). One piece of clothing that had a great price was a 3XL Carlton Guernsey from around 2015-2018. $8 they were charging. Lowest price for a sports guernsey/jersey in an Op Shop. Meanwhile the Salvos in Tarneit had an authentic Italian Inter Milan soccer jersey for $9 (has the ability for it to be $4.50 if it goes 50% off, or even $2 if it is on clearance), and the Brotherhood of St Laurence were selling some basketball jerseys regardless of the authenticity for $15. Please move to a store that is in between your size and your old store size because there's just not enough stock. Update: Staff are friendly and management allow staff to haggle the price.

I want to like this op shop but despite multiple visits I never have a better experience. It’s much more of a used clothing shop than an op shop, homewares options are often very limited. Clothing is sorted in the most random and unhelpful way that makes it incredibly hard to find things. Sorted into random colour groups (black, white, red all in one section for example) but also no discernible system to seperate by size etc. The clothing racks at the front of the store are the ‘premium’ section, where most items are above $15. If it has a ‘premium’ label on it it’ll be marked up, even if it’s a very simple long sleeved tshirt. Absolutely paying for the label alone. I will say, the window displays are well put together. It just seems like this store focuses so much on aesthetics that it forgets the practical completely. The store in general seems significantly more empty than it used to be.

Love this shop so much! Most of my wardrobe is just things from here, staff is always friendly, and things are almost always priced better than other op shops. (Also a great place if you like porcelain figurines, if you get there before I buy them all haha.)

This is one of the nicest op shops in the Werribee area. It has a lovely vibe... in fact it doesn't even look like an op shop, but rather a small boutique. The shelves are well stocked and items are of really good quality. A great range of most things. Even the display window is really well presented. Scored myself a porcelain doll at a good price.The staff are lovely too!

when i walked in there was one customer browsing and ZERO staff to be seen. i heard chatter in the room behind the checkout counter but absolutely zero staff was on the floor, behind the desk etc. no poster saying their opening hours, came in as i was walking by and went to try a few things on, came out and a staff member was waiting outside saying 'we're closed'. and i just felt it was very unfriendly. also unclear where to put clothes ive tried but dont want. and why is it sorted so weirdly, who shops in colours and not size?

You can find good quality items here but there’s not much to look at.
