Kmart Redbank

I am sympathetic as to how difficult it must be to keep clothing on display shelves tidy - people do not put things back the way they found them. However, the mess of clothes in the girls section at 9.30am this morning was really not OK. Clearly this has not been tended to recently, and I feel that patrons of the store deserve better. Perhaps Kmart should invest some of their profits in employing more staff to keep things tidy, organised and accessible ☹️.

Not sure what’s going on in this store but for weeks it’s a total mess all over - piles of things blocking isles, far too much stock and no organisation. A few times I’ve given up looking for what I wanted because the section is too messy to find anything. The staff are friendly and doing a great job - but some organisation is needed.

I called in here yesterday, it’s not my usual Kmart. It’s 2 weeks out from Christmas and really busy. Yes there were some gaps on the shelf, and cages everywhere while the team were loading stock onto shelves. Then I hear this voice, if there is something you are looking for and can’t find it, please let me know. I’ll look for it for you. I let him know we were just looking. I heard this young man ask 2 other people the same thing, keeping his happy demeanour. So friendly and happy. Some time later, he came and asked me if we were ok, and found what we wanted. I had to ask this young man his name. It was Stan. Stan you are an absolute asset to your company, my grand kids and I were so impressed with you.

So messy everywhere, cages of stock in isles blocking up space, people at the back blasting music while moving cages, clothes on the floor, workers look so unhappy being there, did I mention cages of stock everywhere on the floor? At least 5-7 manual checkouts but 6-8 self serve machines - when the queue to checkout is crazy long, we have to stand there to wait for a self serve machine to be open instead getting help in checkouts 🤨

Serious safety concern at the Redbank branch. A bean bag spill has been left uncleaned since late November. The beads are incredibly slippery and dangerous for elderly shoppers and kids. A caution cone isn't enough—this needs to be vacuumed up now. Unacceptable maintenance.

Received a posted item from this Kmart store today, product turned up in a box that had been opened. It appears the item had been taken out of the box previously, shoved back in then taped shut. Disappointing to receive.

No complaints about the place, got what I needed. Customer service on the other hand was trashy. A young lady I think named Elouise? Showed absolutely no respect, in fact didn’t say a word when we politely had asked for help, I tried starting a conversation nothing but a blunt stare, not even a word. Not very impressed.
