Absolutely love my new Bally backpack. It is in exceptional condition. Trading In Style always has such gorgeous curated pieces at affordable prices.
Reviewing from Canada. The absolute best consignment store I know of. Quality pieces at reasonable prices. Even with the $50 international shipping fee I pay less than I would here. Love the extra care they put into the wrapping of products. Love all you gals at TIS!!
Amazing products and even more the customer service is incredible .... fast delivery .... and my product even came with original receipt .... 10 ot of 10
I recently purchased a vintage Louis Vuitton suitcase. The TIS team were so thorough and noticed a little hardware issue and were incredibly transparent and communicative about it before I purchased. What a beautiful vintage piece it is too. Wonderful customer service and gorgeous product.
Long time follower of Trading in Style - I loved that I could see the item on a person, back and front and in motion, so I knew exactly what to expect and what I was getting. Easy and user-friendly website/process from start to finish. I picked up my item, nice and quick, at their beautiful store in Clovelly. Highly recommend shopping pre-loved from these lovely ladies.
Beware of second hand, mouldy clothing! I love buying sustainable fashion and have bought a number of items from Trading in Style, but am so disappointed with this purchase. My beautiful Camilla and Marc jacket is growing mould on it. Note that I have never washed the jacket and have never had mould on any of my clothing before. We have also been in lockdown so I have hardly worn it. I contacted the boutique who are unwilling to offer any assistance stating that, because I didn't notice the mould within the first week of purchase, there is nothing they can do to assist me. The boutique would not accept that the mould is as a result of unsanitary conditions kept by the previous owner and can take longer than a week to come through on the material. The hard 'no responsibility' position taken by the boutique is not fair for consumers and inconsistent with the Australian Consumer Law. This will require a specialist dry clean and even then, there is no guarantee the jacket will be saved. Buyer beware!
I purchased a pair of golden goose (ggdb) superstar sneakers from Trading In Style a few years back and only recently had taken out the shoes to wear. Upon closer inspection of the shoes, I had some concerns regarding their authenticity. I wasn't satisfied that they were authentic based on the below: -The ggdb box it came in is a mismatch to the shoes inside. The outterbox was labelled as "black leopard". The shoes I'd purchased were all grey jersey with no print at all -The innersoles are not 1 piece as ggdb are known for, nor are the bottom stamped ggdb, and have a black plastic heel reinforcement which I haven't seen on any genuine ggdbs -the "patent pending" stamp mark on innersoles being lighter /not at clear and in a different position -no manufacture date and location inside under innersoles. -stitching is poor quality not reflective of real ggdb - look at heal counter where it is also missing ggdb mark -tongue is missing ggdb tag -three perforation holes on sides are missing -no ggdb stamp at back of heal counter -can't find ggdb ever created this model anywhere online and only ever came across them on a Chinese site I reached out to trading in style to explain my concerns via email and I asked if they'd like me to send photos of my concerns. I recieved an apology and was asked to send the shoes back to them. I asked if they'd send a return slip, which they agreed to. Their return slip link wasn't working which I thought may have been due to the long purchase date - I then asked a team member if I can put in the date of when I noticed the issues with the shoes to which they agreed. Otherwise the trading in style team member offered to reimburse me for posting them out. *It turns out that nsw fair trading states the time statue is not based on date of purchase, but rather date of discovery of issue at fault which may explain why they were initially helpful- I was within my consumer rights lawful timeframe- this trumps any store 'policy' as its the Australian law according to what I was advised They recieved the shoes and promptly responded that they authenticated them as genuine (via an online company that did not physically assess them ). They never addressed the outlined concerns listed above nor did they address why the box I recieved them in was not reflecting the correct product. To my surprise, they then asked me to pay $30 return postage (not sure why as they use Australia Post which at most would be approximately $20) but besides this they'd never mentioned a cost at all considering the situation and my hesitation to spend a dollar more on a product that had authentication doubts After a call which a team member said they'll raise the staff miscommunication issue with managers to see if they'll show discretion over, they emailed saying if i do not pay the $30 they can "donate" my property-um what?! who does that? I responded to their threat letting them know unprofessional and inappropriate they were, and then they suddenly agreed to send my shoes back. Unfortunately, it got worse. They sent my shoes back after going to the effort of physically TEARING the label off the box in an attempt to clearly remove evidence of my authenticity concerns (see photos-luckily I'd taken photos of everything prior to sending it) I'm absolutely shocked that a "highend" reseller would go to these unprofessional lengths in what appears to be an effort to disguise a potentionally fake product as authentic. A refund option would have sufficed and still would considering the now physical intentional damage they've caused.
