I have been sitting on whether to submit a review, or not. Anyway I have purchased numerous diamonds from Adamas, through the Rio Tinto benefits program, over a number of years. Each purchase has been pretty seemless (as you would expect when you’re spending a substantial amount of money). The visiting staff are friendly, polite, not too pushy, and, have good knowledge of the product. At every single sitting we ever went too, we were told that should we ever change our mind (or should my personal circumstances change), that Adamas will buy back the diamonds. We always laughed with staff and said selling them back for what you paid, seemed to defeat why anyone would buy them in the first place (not expecting my circumstances to change so much). I never ever expected that I would want to sell any back, but it was nice knowing this was an option. I understood that you only get back what you paid (unless their value were to lower significantly). In that case, we were told that buy pack was not an option. It was explained in detail that they would not allow for any growth if we wanted to sell them back for profit (which again is obvious). So many people in town have bought diamonds and I’ve spoken with many of them following contact with Adamas over the last few months. They said they were told the same thing about being re-assured they would buy them back if the prices haven’t crashed or gone down. Having suffered serious medical issues from work, my circumstances have changed dramatically. I contacted Adamas and asked about potentially selling some diamonds back to them. They have said that they don’t buy back, although they have purchased some diamonds back in the past. I will now no longer recommend Adamas, nor, would I recommend collecting diamonds as an investment, as there appears buyers are few and far between.
