Sydney Jewellery School

Wendy Hearn is an amazing and patient teacher that allows the student to cater a class the student's ability. I have taken numerous classes with Wendy even though I have been silver smithing for a long time. I always learn new techniques and mind blowing new ways of handling items I had not seen before. Sitting somewhere comfortably between traditional training and artistic licence, Wendy helps the student to embrace experimentation while learning good techniques and habits along the way. Highly recommend multiple classes with this school! Well worth the hour drive one way for me.

I have done numerous courses with Sydney jewellery school both with Wendy the owner and other teachers. Ive found all teachers to be experts in their fields along with knowing many tips and tricks for making pieces. The knowledge that they have to be able to think out of the box and offer alternative ways to create pieces is incredible. Wendy is an absolute wealth of knowledge and goes above and beyond for students. She also provides information for suppliers or will supply the necessary equipment onsite. Such an added bonus! I’ll be booking many more classes in the future!

Wendy is a great teacher and generously shares her knowledge. I have done 5 courses over two years and I return due to learning so much. The support and encouragement from attending, led me to implementing jewellery as an elective for year 9 at the highschool I teach in.

Just completed a course about combining resin and wood in jewellery. Fabulous. Learned so much. Wendy is an excellent teacher who is very generous with information and gets just as much enjoyment as her students do , especially when they succeed. The school is well situated with good access to shops and food and has a parking station directly behind the school. It was my first time to this area and I loved it. I could never have learned this technique from you tube... I just had to see it in person. As you can tell, I highly recommend the school.

Wendy is a very knowledgable and approachable teacher that shares her love of jewellery design and making. I have learnt a range of skills from her, in wax carving and electroforming. I look forward to returning and learning more skills in the future. I can't recommend her enough!

I have done a number of courses here as I’ve navigated my way through a new skill area. I’ve enjoyed the demonstration method and then being able to play and try out new ideas. For me the most memorable courses have been the ones that go for 6 weeks or so. As you get to know the other members of the class and often learn from each other. I’m keen to do more at the school and hope they bring out more courses for me to try. I also love that it is located close to home so I don’t have to travel far. Would recommend to anyone wanting to try there hand at this lovely skill base!

The school provides classes in a wide range of media from beginners to experienced. A fun learning environment, very well equipped and offers something for everyone from hobbyist to careerists.
