Prouds the Jewellers Maroubra

Very disappointed, would not recommend for repairs. Left my engagement ring to be resized on August 23rd (paid in advance) and I was told that would take 2 weeks max to get back and they would call me. On September 7th (2 weeks after) I called them asking for my ring and was told that would take longer, but I had an occasion and supposed to be wearing the ring on Saturday. Today (Saturday) I called again and they just told me that couldn’t be resized and that’s it, that I could go back and get my ring (?) and that the dealer left there on the August 31st. Totally mess.

Bought a ring from Prouds Maroubra and discovered 7 days later it was missing a small diamond near the base of the ring. I took the ring to the Store Manager. She told me it had to go to head office to be "assessed". More than a week later, I was told they needed to "remake the ring" and I would have to pay $249, when I had already paid $1.2K to purchase. Outrageous! Do not purchase from Prouds.

I got some earrings for my birthday and a week later took them in to exchange. Had the receipt, never tried on or taken out of package and was told I couldn't exchange because it had been 33 days and they only exchange for 30. Apparently the computer just wouldn't allow such a thing. Took them back to another branch, instantly exchanged, no issues, paid the difference for a significantly more expensive pair. Not sure why a computer at one couldn't possibly do such a thing 3 days late but the other had zero problems. Bad service. I certainly won't be going back.

Went in today to look for a ring. Both staff members were busy with paperwork and were not eager to move said paperwork from on top of the display cases making it very difficult to view their jewellery. Left and went to Angus & Coote Eastgardens where the staff were super helpful and ended up buying a beautiful ruby and diamond ring. Your loss Prouds. Definitely wouldn't recommend this store

Very impressed by the service given at Prouds Maroubra. The 2 ladies (sorry I didn't get your names) who assisted me last June, went above and beyond what was expected. Fantastic service 👏
