Great Food & Atmosphere with Minor Service Hiccups Zia Kitchen is a lovely spot with consistently delicious food and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Our Recent visits highlight just how well‑prepared the dishes are—everything from juicy lamb skewers to crispy popcorn chicken has earned praise for both flavour and presentation. The outdoor seating area, decorated with all things pink and yes some hanging potted plants, adds to the charming, relaxed vibe, making it an enjoyable place for brunch or a casual catch‑up. Service is generally friendly, especially caring staff who pay attention to details. However, it was a very busy weekend when we arrived a few guests have mentioned delays in being seated, ordering, or receiving the correct meals, suggesting that service consistency could use a little improvement. Overall, Zia Kitchen delivers great food, generous portions, and a genuinely pleasant dining experience. With just a bit more focus on streamlining service, it could easily be a five‑star standout.
The food not only looks great but is delicious — very, very delicious. Everything we ordered was full of flavour and beautifully presented. The service, however, was a bit slow, and when our food arrived the table was still full of empty dishes from what we had already finished, which hadn’t been cleared. Other than that, we had a great Sunday brunch and really enjoyed the overall experience.
An absolute gem in Roselands! ❄️🥩 We had such a wonderful experience at Zia Kitchen today. We ordered the Steak and Eggs (today’s special) and the Chicken Schnitzel, and both were delicious—cooked perfectly and high quality. To drink, the Iced Matcha Latte and fresh made apple juice. The highlight for us was the incredible Christmas installation in the back. They even have a snowing machine! My son absolutely loved it and was mesmerized by the "snow"—it turned a great meal into a really special memory. The staff were friendly, the food came out quickly, and the festive atmosphere is unmatched in the area. We took so many photos and will definitely be back. Highly recommend for families!
Food was delicious we had king crab eggs and fried chicken eggs Benedict, portions were also big we were very full! Not only was food delicious, staff was very friendly and accommodating. The setup for photos are beautiful small intimate and definitely worth coming for a good coffee, food and photo ops. We will be coming back here again. Thanks for having us.
We had an amazing time at Z.I.A Kitchen for brunch. The food was so good and everything we ordered tasted really fresh. They have a special spot that is decorated beautifully with a floral theme which was perfect for us to take photos and videos. It is definitely one of our favorite spots in Sydney for a nice breakfast or brunch. A big thank you to Nicholas who looked after us and made our visit even better. If you want a place with a cool vibe and great food you should definitely check it out.
My friend and I found this place on insta and it looked so aesthetically pleasing online. However, when we got there, the place looked so busy and cramped. We stood there for a while before any staff tended us. When we were tended to, we were sat right in front a massive fan that blew directly to our face. The staff were nice and turned it off, after I asked. More so, the menu had half of the options in their online menu. However, the real disappointment was in the food and drinks. My friend and I ordered the skewer plates. The meat was dry, the presentation was not great and the whole dish was sad. The veggies had no dressing and they were incredibly stingy with the baba ganoush. Worst of all, the fairy milk tasted like straight up milk with some food colouring. Very disappointing experience. For its price, I would not recommend this place.
Had breakfast here (crab scramble egg and hotcakes) and was very well presented and delicious. Coffee was excellent. The staff cleaning tables and serving are responsive. Decoration nice. Not sure why reviews are negative on these elements, I found them all quite nice! The only thing that needs adjusting is the way they seat people. We waited at least 10 minutes more than necessary because the Maître d did not seat people fast enough, even though tables were empty and ready. When I called this to her attention, she waited an extra few minutes before calling us to sit down (what point are you proving by doing that?) The attitude is disappointing and kind of soured the start of our dining, but the coffee made up for it. Tip: hotcakes are not served as pancakes, but as an actual cake. FYI. They should change the description as i wouldnt have ordered it.
