Toscano's of Richmond

Melbourne's bet organic fruit and vegetable shop. Not a single piece of fruit I've bought here has ever been anything but sweet, and the quality is amazing. The selection of flowers is various too, offering the lowest prices and finest quality. Might the proprietor consider opening a hundred shops across Melbourne? I'd love to have one in every neighbourhood.

One of the best quality fruits and veggies around in Richmond and they don't flick it with too much plastics. Lots of organic and healthy alternatives in the form of ales to juices to cheeses ! Also nuts etc available package free, if you bring your own package. It is a shame that I have to ride a bit to get here. Staff are very helpful and friendly as saw them in action 🙂

Last Friday I bought some cherries that were discounted in the clearance section. When l got home and opened the bag there was not one edible cherry in the bag. As they were a clearance item l did expect some bad ones but not all of them. I returned the cherries to Toscano and spoke to both the manager and assistant manager who told me that there was no refund for items that were marked clearance. The manager also added that some people like those cherries (which l have a hard time believing as they were all rotten) and l should have bought the full price ones. Yes l would have bought the full price ones if l had know l was been sold inedible cherries. However l believe that Toscano should not be selling inedible rotten fruit even if it is discounted. They should also let customers know that there clearance items are non refundable even if it is not edible.

This local grocery supermarket sells the freshest and highest quality produce, ingredients and flowers. I love their meat and poultry as they are always so fresh. Fruits and vegetables are plentiful, and they have so much variety of cheeses and cured meat. Not to mention that their staff are friendly and very helpful.

Good: Fresh food, friendly and efficient staff. Bad: Deli items often sell out early. Most salads are usually gone by middle of the day without replenishment particularly on the weekend. Sometimes there’s no signage for the salads so it’s not obvious which are to be avoided in case of allergies. Neutral: Expensive, but you get what you pay for, it’s high quality.

Tried to enter at 5.28pm (2 mins before closing) to quickly grab ONE product and the worker quickly denied me entry and shut the roller doors. I understand if you want to get home but you couldn’t wait an extra 2 mins? Do better.
