Always worth a visit if you are walking around the lake. The glass house usually has some kind of fantastic flower display to take a look at unless they are creating the next one. The gardens are always pretty with some kind of colourful annal flower display happening in the beds near the glass house. There is the primister sculpture heads display walk. A lovely rose garden open grass areas with large trees. White marble statues are also another feature of interest to admire there. I have done a free guided tour of the gardens once, and that was good.

These Ballarat Gardens are Always 5 Star. The Magnificent Bergonia Festival, with free entry, was a credit to the creative Ballarat Garden gardeners. The festival organisers & stall holders. With excellent food van choices & lots of seating options all thru the gardens. Absolutely top rate. The Bergonia's are breath taking, a beautiful display, and well organised for the thousands who lined up too view them in the Conservatorium. The Bergonia's will be on display in the Conservatorium for a few more weeks. Well worth the visit.

This garden was established during the gold rush era in the 1850s. There is a special Prime Minister Avenue where an unique outdoor gallery featuring bronze busts of every Australian Prime Minister. The gardens are well maintained, peaceful, and filled with natural beauty that encourages you to slow down and breathe. It’s an ideal spot for quiet reflection, a long stroll, or simply enjoying the scenery at your own pace. Make sure you plan your visit with enough time, as this is not a place to rush through, you’ll want to stay longer and enjoy every moment.

The Ballarat Botanical gardens and Botanical Park are magnificent. Huge area very peaceful just lovely to walk around and relax on a nice sunny day. Right near the lake of Ballarat. Well worth doing a lap of the lake and having a look around the whole area. Lots of birds and people doing all kinds of activities. Ballarat in general is an awesome place to be. One of my favourite holiday destinations. The city views motel in Ballarat is just $110 a night for very modern large spacious rooms with beautiful beds very clean. Very friendly owners who look after you well. The room anywhere else I would expect to pay $180 plus. Make the most of it while their prices are low.

Enjoyed a walk around the lake and gardens which for us was a welcome break from a long road trip. The number of different birds around the lake was amazing. Never have we seen so many swans in one location.
