Carina Florist Ashfield

I have been buying flowers from Carina Florist since the 1990s. Josie has a fast turnover. Her flowers are always fresh and her prices are competitive. I don’t usually buy roses when it’s hot but Josie assured me that her large red roses would hold despite the February heat. After 10 days the roses are still beautifully upright and holding all their petals. Thank you Josie for always providing top quality, lasting flowers and reliable advice. I ordered a bouquet here for a special occasion 10/25. I showed the florist a clear reference photo a loose, airy European style bouquet with wildflower character: soft pastels, chamomile, delicate whites and light pink tones. I mentioned that I loved that "natural, effortless" look. The bouquet I received was technically well made and the flowers were fresh, but stylistically it felt very different. It was much denser and heavier, with compact roses and chrysanthemums instead of lighter textures like chamomile or daisies flowers that are available here in Australia as well. The arrangement had a more traditional, formal feel, rather than the relaxed and organic look I had shown. The price ($120 AUD) would have been fair if the style matched the brief, but for something so different from what was discussed, it felt a bit overpriced. Overall, the workmanship was fine, but the creative direction missed the mark. If you like classic, fuller bouquets, this florist might be a great fit. If you’re looking for something more natural, light and European-inspired, you may want to clarify the style in detail or explore other options. The bouquet with the pink wrapping paper is the one she made. The other photo, without any wrapping, is the one I showed her as a reference.

I couldn’t recommend this florist enough! Carina is absolutely lovely and always takes care of me when i come in last minute to order flowers! ☺️ She’s extremely efficient and accomodating, you just tell her what you want and she brings the idea to life in about 5 minutes. The only florist i get flowers from now! 🌺✨

I highly recommend Carina’s florist, near Peace Park in Ashbury. The flowers are always fresh and the florist will advise on which flowers will last the longest. If you want a bespoke bunch of fresh flowers that will last - go to Carina’s Florist.

We came here with the idea and Carina created them beautifully: our floral cake topper, table bunch, bride’s bouquet and corsage, boutonnières; all those in one stop at her shop with reasonable price and good service. Everyone loved it. Thanks Carina.

Highly recommend!! You just give Carina a vague idea of what u want and ur budget and the occasion etc and within 5min she puts together ur unique bouquet from scratch. U're involved in every step and get to make sure that every element in this bouquet is perfect for u. Nice cosy local business. Would 100% come back 😊
