Hoya Garden Plaza

📍 Florists in Alexandra Hills

6.3

Address in Alexandra Hills offers a diverse selection of succulents and specialty plants, appealing particularly to those seeking less common varieties. The nursery stands out with its well-maintained stock, providing healthy and visually appealing options at competitive pricing. Inside, a spacious layout enhances the shopping experience, complemented by a curated range of decorative items and pots.

While the ambiance leans toward a welcoming and professional setting, some customers report feeling uneasy due to overly attentive staff behavior. Sadly this place was quite disappointing. The owner basically stalks you around the place (very weird) and frankly, the plants were overpriced and in poor condition. If you guys are concerned that people are going to steal, to be honest you shouldn't be, the plants are all neglected and sad. It's a bit ironic that we were being "watched" when we'd just spent well over $100 at a different nursery days earlier so maybe don't be so judgemental. It isn't cool to make potential customers feel uncomfortable like that. Overall not a nice vibe and for the prices they charge, the plants are nowhere near up to par. There are much better nurseries around that we will be choosing in future.

We found this nursery after searching for succulent nurseries around Brisbane and we thought we'd make the trip to Brisbane's Eastern suburbs to check it out. We had never been and thought it would be great to check out to seek some more unusual and harder to find succulents. We were not disappointed! They have a huge range of succulents both rate and common. All were in great condition and very healthy. Unlike a lot of nurseries they had more than the usual common varieties. Prices were very fair for the varieties and size of plants. They also have a great range of other plants to suit indoors, shade and full sun. Inside the shop is huge and has great selection of decorative items and pots. This place definitely has some real WOW factor when you walk in. They also have a little cafe and eating area which is in a really nice undercover area. The coffee, hot chocolate and thickshakes were all superb! It was raining when we visited and a lot of the nursery is undercover so a good place for a rainy day visit. There is loads of parking all near the front door. All the staff we encountered were very friendly, helpful and a delight to interact with. We will definitely revisit this gem in Alexandra Hills!

Great selection of plants. The atmosphere in the gift shop was a little solemn. There had been no water features etc operating which decreased the expected atmosphere levels The gifts/trinkets and ornaments were very over priced compared to other nurseries in the area. Customer service is okay. The food in the cafe had been average to low as the food that we purchased had not been cooked properly. The service had been good and speedy although there wasn’t much pressure on as it had not been at a high peak time.

What a beautiful way to start your morning! A delicious and fresh breakfast! Traditional cafe style food- nothing fancy but plenty to choose from. The nursery itself is well stocked with quality, well looked after plants at affordable prices. The gift shop was great!! Such value for money. Especially when compared to other nurseries in the area.

Hoya Garden not only sales many varieties of succulent, they also sell many precious varieties and high quality roses. Although some large nursely sell similar varieties of roses at a slightly lower price, I would rather come here to chose I like, because they did better caring and the plants are sturdy, bloom faster, so their prices are actually in comparison. more affordable. Regarding rose varieties, they are also much more abundant than other gardens, and the selection is very wide, no matter what color, flower type, or brand you like, they are easy to find in here. Please look at my pictures, if you think that they are beautiful, all of them I bought from Hoya Garden.
