Antipasti Deli & Cafe is one of our favourite places in Yarraville. Everything about it feels special. The focaccia sandwiches are incredibly fresh and full of flavour, and the coffee is simply wonderful. You can really feel the quality of the ingredients and the care behind everything they serve. What makes it even more special for us is the atmosphere. It has such an authentic Italian vibe that reminds us a lot of where we come from in the south of Brazil, so every visit feels warm and familiar almost like being at home. They also have beautiful Italian products and fresh ingredients of excellent quality. The team is always welcoming, friendly and attentive. Fabian is incredibly kind and lovely with all the customers, and there is also a Brazilian staff member, Júlia, who is extremely sweet and very attentive. You can truly feel the heart behind this place. A little gem in Yarraville that we always love coming back to.

I’ve ordered from here a few times now and it’s been hit and miss. I’ve had decent coffee, a great toasted Sanga and a really bad calzone. It was one extreme to the other as the ham and cheese toastie was packed and great value yet the calzone was dry and just about empty inside. It was literally like someone had spread some tomato paste on it with tiny traces of minced olive then closed it and cooked it. Great selection of homemade dips at fair prices. But a lot of the other general items are well overpriced like a small orange juice for $5.10

$31 for a chicken focaccia with 4 ingredients maximum, and a piece of chicken? That would’ve cost maybe $5 - $8 to make. I don’t care if it’s 10% Sunday rates or not, prices are disgusting. Usually I’d encourage anyone to take your business elsewhere that’s better suited for the individual, any establishment has the right to charge whatever they please. $31 bucks doesn’t equate to 10% on top of what the usual standard cost is. Dude who serves me was just looking for a quick buck, and I now understand what he always dances to himself in the corner. If I were successfully ripping people off this way, I’d be dancing too. 1 star is still higher than what’s deserved here, but it’ll have to do. I fed my dog the other half and not even he wanted it. Definitely doesn’t taste like $31 dollars. Absolute rip off, count me out. "The Heat" starring Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock, is the best movie of all time. I said what I said

For an absolute quality feast at affordable #melbournecheapeats prices, I was blown away by everything and I can't speak highly enough of this place! The second you step into this deli/cafe, Fabian and his team will treat you like familigia and you will feel like his casa is your casa. Serving a deliciously smooth and strong local blend of coffee at under $5 to cheap borek. I was impressed about how much of the menu is actually in-house made (including the pizza box design). The reuben sandwich was loaded with fresh and salty pastrami, tangy sauerkraut and a sandwich pickle spread that was ultimate in my hunt to find the best reuben in Melbourne! And the pesto chicken focaccia was absolute Italiano panino heaven. The homemade arancini was the size of a baseball and between that and the carbonara, I honestly felt like my nonna had come in and made it herself. The flavours were something, the affordable price another but the hospitality and love witnessed, is the real reason to keep coming back. No need to go anywhere but here , vai ora e buon appetito!

Terrible and unprofessional experience at Antipas Deli & Cafe on Valentine’s Day. I had already bought some flowers from Coles and then decided to stop in and buy more from his store as well. I ended up spending $60 on flowers there. Instead of appreciating the business, the owner looked at the Coles flowers I was holding and said, "Oh, is that what Coles are giving people?" and then followed it up with, "They look dead, mate." I said that’s okay, I can return them if needed. He then asked, "Who’s it for, mum or missus?" I told him it was for my girlfriend. He laughed and said, "Oh and you’re getting her flowers from Coles? I don’t know about that one, chich." Calling a paying customer "chich" and laughing at them for buying flowers elsewhere — after I had just spent $60 in his shop — is extremely unprofessional. Not everyone wants to spend $200 on flowers. At the end of the day, flowers are flowers, and what matters is the gesture. My girlfriend was happy, which is the whole point. Very disappointing attitude. Won’t be coming back.

Not sure if it’s still the same owner (Fabian), but he was horrifically racist to an ex employee while I was visiting a few years ago. I felt absolutely sick. And only after a recent visit, decided to say something. Unless this owner has changed, please don’t support such awful actions.

Lovely place, I’ve moved into the area around 6 months ago and Fab and his team have made me feel like a have a group of people here like family. If you have an issue, bring it up in store and you will walk away happier then ever, he wants every single person who enters to leave happy and satisfied and if you can’t find something on floor, he will make sure he helps you however he can. Great place for an authentic experience. I would recommend to anyone.
