The Gorge House | Launceston Luxury Stay

Gorge House is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. It’s very modern, spotlessly clean & has everything you could possibly want. Chris was so generous with the treats left out for us & the amazingly well stocked fridge & pantry! The beds are very comfortable & the linen luxurious! The bathrooms are lovely & stocked with top quality products. It’s in a great location, walking distance to the Gorge. We so enjoyed sitting out on the front balcony admiring the view. One morning we were delighted to find two peacocks roaming around the backyard! Chris is an excellent host & communicator. We’ve voted it up there as one of the top accommodations we’ve stayed in. 🥇 We’ll definitely be back & highly recommend Gorge House to any visitors to Launceston!

The house was great and exceeded our expectations. The views from the balcony were amazing and the house is a short walk from the beautiful Cataract Gorge. The kitchen was also the most well equipped kitchen in any place I have stayed in with ample cookware, spices and sauces. Our host, Chris was also very responsive and provided great local recommendations around Launceston. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this house!

This is a beautiful house in a great location. It’s nicely decorated and full of modern appliances. It’s in a really good location with Cataract Gorge a few minutes walk away and Launceston centre easy to walk to. Chris was a fantastic host, very friendly and easy to deal with. He left wine and snacks to welcome us to the house! It was a great stay, I’d definitely come back.

Gorgeous 3 bedroom home, built and maintained to the highest standard. Hosts go above and beyond to provide a wonderful experience. Especially loved the comfy bed and luxurious linen, outside dining and balcony area, location, and the food and wine offered by the host waiting for us upon arrival. 100% recommend if staying in Launceston

Chris' place in Launceston was absolutely beautiful. The view from the main bedroom window and living area was divine, and the complimentary bread, wine and chocolates were such a nice touch. Chris communicated with me so incredibly well and made me feel at ease when accidental damage occurred, making me feel supported and available as I needed. It is in a gorgeous location with many places within a 5 minute drive. The driveway was steep but easy to navigate once I got the hang of it. Thankyou so much again Chris. You are your beautiful home have been wonderful!

What a brilliantly designed place to open up for guests. Chris is an exceptional host who goes above and beyond to ensure his guests are happy. The small things Chris does for his guests really do make a difference such as a thoughtful complimentary bottle of bubbly, a fresh loaf of bread, list goes on!

This is an incredible place to stay at, could not recommend it highly enough for anyone wanting to stay in Launceston! An absolutely fantastic location, gorgeous home with all sorts of luxurious amenities, and easily the best hosts I've encountered on airbnb or any similar platform! 10/10, no notes.
