I had a great experience at The Muglan! The Nepalese and Indian dishes are packed with flavour and give a nice taste of home-style cooking — especially the Thakali/Thali set with dal, rice, curry and pickles. The food felt comforting and authentic, and the portion sizes were generous. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole visit enjoyable. The warm, relaxed vibe is perfect for a casual meal with friends or family. Will definitely come back to try more dishes! 🇳🇵
We arrived just after 7pm and placed our order. The food came to our table at 8:40pm. It was an extremely long wait for anything, the drinks took quite a long time considering the restaurant was very quiet. We received the soft drinks in cans and the beers in bottles so it's obviously a very casual restaurant. The food was nice, very mild curries. We enjoyed the goat dishes. The decor was minimal and dishes were a little dirty when they came out. We gave the plates a wipe over with the napkins before eating.
It’s a beautiful and pure Nepalese atmosphere restaurant. I really liked different props which were displayed , really feels like I was in Nepal. The food was very tasty. We ordered the Thakali khana set and newari khaja set both of them were very tasty. If would be great if they give sweets like rasbari with the yoghurt in thakali set. Overall the experience was good.
⚠️Customers, please do yourself a favour and DO NOT come here for breakfast buffet We dined here for same couple of times but today the quality of food has hit rock bottom Management staff please DO BETTER and not rip off customers $23 per person for this buffet I wouldnt have it for free. The food is terribly STALE and UNEDIBLE Its a big disgrace and insult to Nepali food. I told the thin male bearded staff twice he listened, ignored me with a smile. Puri = tasteless flat cold Jerry = Soggy drenched in oil Tarkari =Watery Tasteless Gwarmari = Stale and unchewable Alu fry = undercooked Pani puri puri = broken Springrolls/ Alu chop = airfried
Went to Muglan for breakfast buffet. The milk tea was 😍😍. The interior was really amazing. Jerry was fresh and flavorful. Foods were okay.
Muglan – Authentic Nepali Flavours in Rockdale Muglan in Rockdale is a hidden gem for anyone craving delicious, authentic Nepali cuisine. The food is packed with rich spices and traditional flavours that truly hit the spot. Their **sukuti** (dried meat) is a must-try – perfectly seasoned and full of smoky, savory goodness. Have been here twice so far and had vegetarian thali both of the times. Absolutely loved the food, the generous portions, the staff are lovely and the ambience is fantastic. Highly recommended if you want to try authentic Nepalese cuisine experience and an excellent customer service.
