a quiet, beautiful spot with stunning views over Shelly Beach. The lookout is easy to access, and there’s a lovely carved wooden archway that adds a unique charm. It’s a great place to just sit, listen to the waves, and take in the scenery.
Great lookout over Shelly Beach. Part of the coastal track, be aware of steep stairs down to Shelly Beach. Whilst this track is dog friendly, this stops at Shelly Beach. Track into Miners beach is a reserve where dogs are not permitted.
Awesome view of Shelly Beach and the ocean, especially early morning. There are some solid timber tables to sit at and if you are there at the right time and the NE breeze is blowing, you might even be treated to some of the local paragliding experts having fun in the sky. The walk down to Shelly Beach via the walking track is only 5 minutes, be careful on the stairs. The walk up is tough but totally worth it. It can be used for weddings, and is a popular quick stop for tourists visiting this beautiful area.
It has a small walk to the lookout it's mesmerising view, we had our lunch with the sea view, from there you can get down via Shelly Beach though it mentioned 3mjns it took us 15min to reach down, if you are not ok in walking you can go back and get your car to Shelly beach in 3min drive, the walk is good walking through the forest, but it's full of steps
To get to this little lookout, you need to park your car some 30-40m up the road, then walk on the sidewalk till you get to the turnoff, then you take the turn and continue walking for another 20-30m and get to the lookout. There is a nice-looking arch, a table and bench, and viewing platform. Some pretty standard view from lookouts like this, but still good view. Some of my photos are drone photos - you won't see the exact same thing just from standing on the platform. They are here just to help you understand what view you will get from this lookout.
Beautiful location. Gives a panoramic view of the coast. Perfect picnic table carved in wood. A little walk down to the beach. Be careful in the dark (use a flashlight) as we were about to step on a snake.
Unreal scenery, loved the view. was a perfect morning and just a perfect little spot over looking the water. would be lovely for weddings ⛰️🌊
