UPDATE: reopened, under new membership, and a new branding. Food is similarly great, just new owners. [ORIGINAL POST] Permanently closed as of 19 Oct 2025. They will be missed! Great food and glad I found them for a little while.
Hot chips are the best in the area and the chicken burgers are going back to the traditional milk bar. Love small businesses in our local community rather than the big chains. Family friendly staff too
The fried chicken (homemade chicken strips) is amazing, the coating isn’t oily, and the chicken is juicy and thick. Pair it with their chilli oil for a delicious meal.
My first time visiting Portico and I was very pleased I did. I had an Aussie burger and chips. The burger contained good quality meat and the salad was generous and fresh. The chips were crisp and tasty. Everything was piping hot and very enjoyable. It was a bonus to be served by such pleasant people.
I love their chicken. Always tender, juicy and delish! And this stuffing is to die for!
I don’t know what they do with the food for it to be soo nice, I have never been let down with any of the items I have tried on their menu
