Groundstone cafe located at the middle of Orange Regional Museum and Gallery. It’s a convenient place to rest after and or between visits to the museum and gallery. The overall experience was good. Thanks.
We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better wedding recovery catering team! From start to finish, everything was absolutely incredible. The pizzas were out of this world — perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and exactly what everyone needed the day after the wedding. Our guests are still talking about them! You could tell so much care and quality went into every single one. The cheese board / grazing table was just as impressive. It wasn’t just beautiful (though it really was stunning!), it was thoughtfully put together with an amazing selection that catered to everyone. It felt abundant, generous, and indulgent — the perfect relaxed but elevated vibe for a recovery event. The team themselves were fantastic to work with — professional, friendly, and completely seamless on the day. They made everything feel effortless for us, which is exactly what you want after a wedding! We would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone planning a wedding recovery or special event. Absolutely phenomenal food and service. Thank you for making our weekend even more unforgettable! 🤍✨
I enjoyed everything about my $18 brunch avo special of the day. The staff moved me inside as soon as a table came vacant. The meal came out very soon after the mug of coffee. The flavours and textures were well balanced and it looked great. Flawless. The green wall of live plants is a triumph.
Groundstone Cafe, Orange – Potential Not Yet Met I visited Groundstone Cafe after seeing solid Google reviews. Parking was easy, which was a plus. The staff were young and a bit left of field, not quite what you would expect from a standard cafe. Nothing wrong with that, and some people will enjoy it. Personally, I was indifferent. Ordering was easy enough, but the coffee was disappointing. It was overheated and burnt, and when mentioned, the solution offered was ice cubes. That response highlighted a lack of basic coffee knowledge and training. I ordered scrambled eggs with mushrooms and hash browns. The bread was a poor example of sourdough, the eggs were underwhelming, and the hash browns were drenched in oil. The mushrooms were the standout, cooked beautifully and genuinely excellent. The atmosphere is a strong point. Families, kids, and workers all seemed comfortable and enjoying the space. With better training, particularly around food execution and barista skills beyond basic milk coffees, this place could be marvellous. As it stands, the pricing feels high for the standard delivered.
Ordered the Turkish eggs and made a point to inform them I wanted to share it with my 2 small kids. They recommended it and I ordered extra. The description does say Nduja butter which I've never heard of hence why I ask if ok for kids. My word was it hot, even for me. I went to let FOH know and asked for a couple of scrambled eggs for my kiddos, not only did they charge me for them, all the staff gathered around to listen and have input, saying I should have known and lots of kids eat food this spicy. I was very reasonable and was made to feel completely out of line. Then when I sat down all staff we're gathered openly discussing the situation and gesturing towards us. Maybe add a note on the menu description that its HOT and PORK (we also do not eat pork, as many don't!) and if people say its for children please also inform them. Regardless, my experience has been restaurants are normally more respectful and willing to help a misunderstanding. Won't be returning.
Visiting Orange from Sydney. Had a great coffee and hot chocolate accompanied by good quality sourdough and eggs, served by friendly staff. . High ceilings, glass walls and plenty of light, lovely atmosohere.
Groundstone’s catering at our wedding recently was absolutely outstanding. So many of our guests told us it was some of the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding — and we couldn’t agree more. Every dish was delicious, fresh, and beautifully put together. What really made the difference was the team. They were so friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they made everything feel effortless. We’re still talking about the food weeks later. Truly incredible — we couldn’t recommend Groundstone more!
