Afghan Central

I ordered Ghiemeh with Afghan bread, but the meal lacked flavor and the bread appeared stale, as if it had been baked the previous day. Even my chickens were unwilling to eat the tasteless food. I will not be ordering from this shop again.

Tried Afghan Central at Casey Central Shopping Centre — a nice spot offering authentic Afghan halal food. The restaurant has a good ambience with plenty of seating both inside and outside, making it comfortable for families and groups. The service was courteous and friendly, and the food tasted good, though the serving size was smaller compared to other Afghan restaurants, and I missed the roasted tomato that usually comes with BBQ platters. Prices are slightly on the higher side, but overall it’s a pleasant dining experience with a welcoming vibe.

We have been here about 5 times within 2-3 months. The food is excellent, it does take some time to prepare however, it is understandable since the food comes out fresh and so is the bread. The portions are generous even for a grown man and I can barely finish my plate of mixed kebab. I have recommended to several friends already and will keep doing so to support this family business!

Very disappointed with Afghan Central. The pelts were not clean and the quality was far below what I expected. Service was poor and they were not on time with the work. To make things worse, the manager seemed more interested in joking around with the workers than actually running the place properly. Not professional at all – I would not recommend them.

We have been going to this restaurant for years and the service has been average. Yesterday when we arrived, it was not busy at all and waited approximately 50 minutes for 4 dishes. As soon as they served the chips for the kids we told the guy they look old and stale. He kept on saying no they are fresh. No one ate them because they were reheated. I complained again when we were paying and they refused to take them off the bill. I broke one in half infront of the girl at the register to show her and they don’t care. Never going back there again. Worst service and food
