Basilico Pizza

If you’re looking for incredible pizza and outstanding service, I can’t recommend Basilico Pizzeria in Homebush highly enough. He catered for my husband and daughter’s birthday, bringing his pizza truck to our event, and it was honestly one of the best decisions we made. The setup was professional and seamless, and from start to finish his service was friendly, organised, and genuinely warm. He made everyone feel welcome and part of the experience. The pizza itself was absolutely amazing — fresh, full of flavour, and cooked perfectly on the spot. The bases were crisp yet light, and the toppings were generous and delicious. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how good the pizza was, and many went back for seconds (and thirds!). What really stands out is how family-oriented his business is. You can tell he takes pride in what he does and truly cares about the people he’s serving. He helped make the birthday celebration feel special and stress-free. If you’re planning a party or event in Sydney and want the best pizza experience, I highly recommend Basilico Pizzeria’s pizza truck. Fantastic food, fantastic service, and an all-round great experience. Since then we have gone to visit again and again and the pizza continues to be delicious.

After reading all the 5 star reviews and being Italian we had to try Basilico Pizza to see what all the hype was about. Well, without a doubt, hand on heart one of the best pizzas we have had for a very long time. The Diavola was mouth watering and full of taste. Fresh ingredients and the pizza dough just melted in your mouth. The capricciosa was as equally mouthwatering and the prices they charge are very fair indeed. Service was outstanding and the boys went out of their way to ensure that we were happy in every aspect. Highy recommended and this is our new go to for Sydney’s Best Pizza. We couldn’t be happier with Basilico Pizza at our baby shower! The woodfired pizza setup looked absolutely beautiful and added such a special touch to the event. Our guests are still raving about how delicious the pizzas were, every flavour was a hit. Salvatore was incredibly responsive throughout the booking process, which made everything stress-free from start to finish. The service, presentation, and quality were all outstanding. We highly recommend Basilico Pizza for any event and would absolutely book them again!

Basilico is hands down my 'go-to' spot in Sydney for an authentic pizza fix. The crust is always perfect, and you can tell they prioritize hygiene and quality. Beyond the food, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming every single time. Unfortunately I felt the pizzas missed their mark. I had high hopes from all these 5 star reviews 🤷 There were so few toppings. The base is wood fired and thin style, texture is chewy, liken the taste to pita bread. The pizza base sauce is tomato straight from the can, has a sour aftertaste. All three pizzas taste the same, the only difference in is the toppings. At $88 for 3 pizzas it's at a premium for what it is for pick up!. The location is just off Parramatta Road, a very busy 4 lane road. This venue is a food truck parked on premise which is a business by day and a site for 2 food trucks by night. There are a few tables set up. Pick up is direct from the food truck. For Italian style pizzas my pick remains Fratelli Pulcinella in North Parramatta. No affiliation. It was impossible to order in advance without using Uber eats or door dash as it's a one person operation. We tried ordering direct and we got a reply 2 hours later.

The baciata pizza I had here is honestly the best in Sydney. The dough is light, fragrant, and perfectly made. Mine was filled with fresh rocket, creamy mozzarella, and delicious Parma prosciutto — an amazing combination! A big compliment to Salvatore, the pizzaiolo, who clearly knows what he’s doing. The price is very reasonable, and you can even buy a large amount of pizza without spending too much. If you’re looking for something truly tasty, genuine, and satisfying, this place is a must-try.

Could not recommend Basilico Pizza more!! The team were so friendly, had great communication leading up to the event & delivered delicious food. Everyone at our event was talking about how yummy the food was. Will definitely be hiring them again for our next event 😊
