Farro Pizzeria Hawthorn

We stumbled across this lovely restaurant while researching places that cater for vegan options. The server was very attentive to detail & was able to explain and answer questions we had. Service was immaculate. The pizzas were all wonderful too, a shame they don’t do pastas anymore but it’s great they’re focusing on perfecting one thing. Would definitely be back

Had a great family dinner at Farro. The staff were super friendly and warm. Pizzas were delicious with an interesting variety of options. The spelt base had a lovely subtle nutty flavour. Overall, delicious pizza with warm service. Perfect for a family dinner, group lunch or date night.

Having lived in Milan and visited Rome, I know true Italian flavors—and this place nails it. The pasta, appetizers, and desserts are "so"authentic, every dish we ordered disappeared the moment it hit the table. But what truly stood out was the kindness of the staff, especially Florence. After we left, I didn’t even realise I’d dropped one of my earrings. Amid their crazy-busy rush (this place is always packed!), she spotted it, kept it safe, and went out of her way to contact us. That level of care is rare. Incredible food, cozy vibe, and service that goes above and beyond? This is Hawthorn’s hidden treasure. We’ll be back—again and again!

Menu is interesting. We were early, and husband not well, but we enjoyed the 2 dishes we had. It is bit expensive for some of the dishes. Interior was cosy, felt nice, not much noise when we were there, but got busy as we were leaving. Good for families. We will be back to try the pizza's.

very average pizza. I had a margarita and it was ok but cheese tasted cheap. my partner had a pizza with prawns and it was not good. we left without finishing our food. inside the restaurant also smelled like deep fryer oil - not sure why. maybe it was an off day as the reviews are good and other farro locations I've tried have been perfectly fine

The gluten free pizzas are not nice. The bases have a horrible texture. Also, the toppings were kinda dry. This is the second time I have been here and both times have been disappointing. Service is average but not bad. They also don't do pasta options like all the other Farro's do, which is a big shame. Won't be going back.

Hawthorn- Pizza dough was fabulous. Lamb topping was scarce, approx 1tsp per slice, underwealming given the price. It was literally the small tip of the slice. I was looking forward to the atmosphere of Windsor but it was a typical family pizzaria. Nothing special. Prosecco was lovely.
