Sri Lankan Foodie’s Restaurant

I recently tried the banana leaf rice here, and it was honestly the best and best value banana leaf meal I’ve had in all of Melbourne. It was only 19$ and generously portioned, easily enough for two people and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite... The taste was amazing, with seven different curries and vegetables including chicken, fried dry fish, brinjal with dry sprats, coconut sambol, baby jack fruit (polos) and ambaralla. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly balanced.. I will definitely be coming back often. Highly recommended!

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience. I ordered rice and curry for dinner and received food that had a very bad smell and clearly seemed expired. It was completely inedible and unacceptable to serve something like this to customers. Food quality and hygiene are basic expectations, especially when people are ordering meals to eat the same day. This experience has really affected my trust in this place, and I had to throw the entire meal away. I hope the management takes this seriously and improves their food handling and quality checks, because this kind of issue can seriously affect customers’ health.

Great quality food specially the pastries. The kottu and fried rice was 10/10, good portion size and spicyy. Cant forget abt the great customer service too. Highly recommend 🩷

All the food i have tryed from this restaurant was soo delicious. I tryed the lunch time rice and curry and also the lamprice. Potion size and the quality of food is great. All curries are very yummy. We will be going back again soon. Keep the food quality and portion size the same and you will have a bright future.

While I’m hopeful they can improve, unfortunately there is room to improve. Half of the menu wasn’t available which would been good to know before my group and I sat down. There was a lot of us but it was a hour and half by the time we got food on the table. Place could do with more decorations but the main issue is with the menu.

I got curry packs its 49 dollars ,4 vegetables and meat curry..worth price,amazing for the black pork curry.....
