This is consistently the best pub food in Goulburn. The staff go out of their way to find you a seat but because it is so popular, do yourself a favour and book ahead to guarantee a seat. The food is high quality and well priced but what really impresses is that despite the crowds, the chef and team are a well oiled machine and you don't wait long for your meal irrespective of the crowd. The staff behind the bar and clearing the tables are prompt and friendly. Cleanliness is always excellent. The hotel has been modernised and it feels contemporary rather than just getting a slap of paint . Given the evening and lunch time crowds, this has to be one of the most popular pubs in Goulburn.

We went to the Hibernian after a very disappointing dinner at the Astor Bistro, and I can tell you it saved the night!! The food was exceptional, fair prices and friendly staff!! Everything the other place wasn’t! If you want to have an excellent pub meal in Goulburn, this is the place to go.

Had the absolute best LAMB SHANKS at the Hibernian tonight. The meat fell off the bone, was amazingly moist, Gravy beautiful and Mash also lovely. A stand out in our view. Along with amazing value as we recieved TWO Shanks not just one!!! Thanks very much Team!!

The food was exceptional and the lady behind the dar with the dsrk hair in a bun and stunning dropped gol earings had the best personailty. She also went out of her way to accomadate my walking issues.Shame shes going to Stradbroke for a while shell be missed by all.

Came on a Tuesday night, friendly staff, $20 porterhouse great value very tasty, glass of wine was great at pub prices. Good atmosphere. Highly recommend

There is no better pub in australia. Where else can you buy a $24 parmy with such big portions and such delicious quality. Unreal food, beers were cold and also reasonably priced. This is a must if you are driving along the Hume!!!
