Outback Cellar & Country Cottage

If you don’t want a noisy van park or motel room then Outback Cellar is for you. It’s only 10 mins outside of Dubbo so no big deal at all. The cottage is perfect! Pretty, tranquil, quiet, clean and super cosy. Heaps of beautiful little birds reside in the gardens, plus roos in the surrounding fields. The family cat is also super friendly and comes to visit. Great for our family of 4. Tracey provided everything and more, including the kind use of her washing machine. There was fresh milk in the fridge on arrival, and both indoor and outdoor fires were loaded and ready to go. The enormous bath tub in the ensuite was AMAZING! The beds were all beautifully made and smelled so clean. It was fully self contained and more….even a Nespresso coffee machine. She has really thought of everything for this vineyard/farm stay. We would not stay anywhere else when in Dubbo again!

The place is amazing . Very lovely accommodation. Jus tour of town so very peaceful and quiet. Was told the native birds could get a bit loud of a morning but weren’t really noticed at all. The night sky is absolutely amazing!!! Accommodation had everything you need! The eggs, milk and condiments such as milk provided was also fantastic! Being able to also Look at tourist places around the area was great as info was provided. The owners and their family were very lovely to talk to. Good communication via email to organise arrival. Also loved the animals, especially the random farm cat that made the trip ( wished it could have come along with us as watching it "make biscuits" was hilarious). Definitely will stay again if in the region or will recommend to family and friends.

Absolutely fantastic place. Perfect distance from Dubbo with a great rural vibe. Yard was secure and perfect size for our mini schnauzer to run around. What more could you want in the back yard? A nice view, Roos in the background, sun setting and your dog having fun. Will definitely stay again.

Loved our two-night stay in the Outback Cellar,which is situated just outside of Dubbo. Being far from a main road,it is so quiet and peaceful. The stars looked close enough to touch! The room,which includes a loft,is so spacious. We had our own courtyard and an adjacent beautifully-maintained garden. Thank you Tracey for the eggs from your chickens - so fresh!

We booked a weekend stay in the Cottage for three adults and two young children. This place would easily suit a family or small group of friends. The cottage is cozy with a great little fireplace, ensuites in both bedrooms and a well-equipped small kitchen/dining area. We were warm with the fire roaring (there is AC too), plenty of chopped wood available. Its about 15min drive into town so you need a car and a desire to be properly in the country. We loved the landscape, trees and animals! Tracey had great communication, she lives onsite but we were given plenty of privacy. I would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely exceeding our expectations, gardens were stunning ,accommodation was better than we expected , we chose the Cellar and couldn’t be more surprised.,so well appointed ( owner ) Tracey ensures everything is supplied plus more . With Quality towels & ,linen . We had access to a private Italian type courtyard with pizza oven &, barbecue , the cellar has been kept rustic in keeping with its age . Plus as a bonus a beautiful little cat greats you on arrival , It can sleep 7 15 minutes to Dubbo Zoo and 10 minutes to star gazing centre ,We have already booked a week in May 2024

We had originally wanted to stay at the Western Plains Zoo but due to the cost I started looking elsewhere. Despite the number of accommodation options available in Dubbo, as soon as I saw the website of the Outback Cellar I looked no further. Located just 15 minutes from the centre of Dubbo with the zoo, shopping centres, restaurants and tourist attractions you would never know it! I felt like I was hundreds of miles from civilisation. The surroundings were so beautiful and peaceful and full of wildlife. The Outback Cellar itself where we stayed was amazing. Outside we had our own pizza oven, tables and chairs and inside there were beds for up to 7 people and fireplace with plenty of firewood. It really felt like home with all the artwork on the walls, expensive linen on the beds, fancy soaps provided at every sink, piles of board games, books, puzzles and even some toys for the kids. The kitchen was full stocked with every utensil and piece of kitchenware you could think of. No fine detail had been overlooked. The owners were absolutely lovely. We stayed four nights and none of us wanted to leave, not even our 8 year-old daughter. It was luxurious and peaceful and we loved every minute of our stay.
