HC Catering (Hot Coals Catering)

We had HC for our recent micro wedding (20 guests) in December. From our very first experience with them at the tasting night all the way to the big day itself, we were very impressed with their service. From initially inquiring with them, I found them to be very helpful and willing to answer questions, rather than being pushy (like some of their competitors). On the night, the staff were all extremely friendly, quick, efficient and attentive. The food was also amazing and the pizzas were an absolute crowd favourite. Our guests were all raving about the service and the food! Thank you again to the whole HC team!

We used hot coals catering and highly recommend them. Richard and his team were fantastic. Great communication from the start with the planning, we had several special diets that were catered too carefully, staff were all professional and the food was absolutely delicious. Our guests were raving about the food all day. I have been worked in hospitality for 30+ years so am pretty particular and I had no complaints. Took all the stress out of the day and eveyone was full and happy. I will be using your services again. Thankyou all for the wonderful food and service.

We had a tasting night here a couple of weeks ago and were very impressed. Tamara has been super helpful but not at all pushy in our initial engagement. Dickie and all the staff were lovely on the night. And most importantly the food was all delicious. We particularly enjoyed the arancini and trying quail eggs. We feel reassured that we have made the right choice for our wedding catering and cannot wait! Update: I am unable to post another review, but I wanted to update this review to reflect that HC Catering did not disappoint on the day. They were so efficient, just got on with the job, produced amazing food and the staff worked extra hard to bring food inside (up lots of steps) on a very hot day. The guests were all raving about the food and we will be sure to send your details around. Thank-you again to Richard, Tamara and the rest of the team!

These guys were the best, the perfect mix of professional and warmth. It felt like our drinks were being served by friends and our food was created with love. Simple delicious wholesome food and no one left hungry! They really helped us customise the menu exactly how we wanted it (we mixed a few of their package options to create our own) and you can go do an awesome date night (or family) tasting night that is free if you hire them.

So grateful for the service and care provided by Hot Coals for my Mum's wake in September. We really appreciate that the team were able to accommodate at short notice. Richard was my first point of contact who I found calm and sincere, which I appreciated at such a difficult time- when I enquired about a particular Finger Food menu, he even offered another package they had that would have been more cost effective. The food was exceptional and soothed us all after a hard day. We have since had HC cater for us at another event, incredible pizzas that we can't stop thinking about 🙂 . The HC team are efficient and always smiling, it's very clear they are passionate about food and the service they provide.

The food is delicious and plentiful, the staff are friendly and efficient, the organisation is smooth and worry free. Can’t recommend HC Catering highly enough. The food is prepared outside and served on time, hot and there is no concern about not enough. After the event there is no sign that anyone had been there, except for the full containers of left overs. Thank you for making my celebration effortless and successful.
