Absolutely phenomenal. Delicious authentic Lankan food served nice and hot which brings nostalgia of Sri Lanka. The prices are also very reasonable - the portion sizes are great too!! The chef also is very friendly and made us feel welcome. In our opinion, this is the best Sri Lankan place we have been to in Australia. You must try it! 😋

THANK YOU so much to the super AWESOME team from SL Chef from both my friend/godfather Peter and I for absolutely EVERYTHING during our first EVER visit there late this morning many hours ago on Friday 23/01/2026 including both the first rate food and first rate fast and friendly service...we both deeply appreciate it! The inside of SL Chef was bright, colourful and welcoming...and the girl who served us was so nice and friendly; we deeply appreciate how helpful she was including preparing our order of two spicy beef patties, both of which had absolutely LOVELY pastry on the outside and absolutely DELICIOUS tantalising spicy beef filling in the inside. It is the perfect snack or lunch on the go! On top of the aforementioned spicy beef patty - a Sri Lankan culinary delight you absolutely MUST try - they have a a truly IMPRESSIVE selection of Sri Lanka baked goods and dishes as well; we look forward to visiting again very soon to try it all, indeed SL Chef is an absolute GEM of both a Sri Lankan restaurant and bakery!

I discovered SL Cheff by chance while searching for Sri Lankan food. Since then, I have ordered catering for small gatherings and bought Kotthu and fried rice multiple times. SL Cheff has never failed to satisfy us; it offers the best Sri Lankan cuisine. Everyone should try this amazing food.

Tried the mix fried rice and it was absolutely delicious. Generous portions with a perfect balance of flavours, well-cooked rice, and a great mix of meats and vegetables. Everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned, not oily at all. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable. Definitely one of the best fried rice dishes I’ve had highly recommended!

I went to SL Chef after one of the concerts recently, and wow — it was hands down the most amazing nasi goreng and seafood fried rice I have ever eaten! The flavours were incredible, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. You can really taste the freshness in every bite. After a big night out, it was exactly what I needed — comforting, delicious, and so satisfying. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend to anyone craving authentic, flavour-packed food!
