The Terrace at The Settlement
The Terrace at The Settlement in Cranbourne offers a mixed experience that balances comfort and convenience with some areas needing improvement. The spacious rooms are clean and comfortable, with a blend of modern and classic decor. The location is advantageous, being close to shopping centers and local attractions, and the staff is generally friendly and accommodating.
However, some aspects, such as the breakfast selection and room maintenance, could be enhanced. The hotel's proximity to amenities and the comfortable beds make it a suitable choice for short stays, but potential guests should be aware of the dated facilities and occasional noise issues.

Credit to the owners, management and staff. So friendly and accomadating. Food is fantastic with large servings. Rooms are large, spacious, spotless, bed is very comfortable. I have uploaded some photos of my room. It does face a main room, but I had no trouble with sound. Pokies are there and open to 4am with night staff and security who are lovely. Will definitely stay again, close to large shopping centre 5 min away or a smaller one with Woolworths and variety stores.
Upsides, almost every corner has shops. Cranbourne has quite a nice vibe. Everything you need is just around the corner. Liquor shop right next to it, a family restaurant and a bar. The room is big. Not quite the boutique hotel I imagined. A mix of both modern and old. Free parking in the vicinity. Downsides, the 32" tv, or i think smaller, is out of place on top of the dressing cabinet. We found an old pair of socks in the room and some cobwebs. Toiletries are quite stingy, they are just in small tubes. It can be quite noisy especially people talking in the hallway. The most appalling thing is the "free" breakfast. The food is just in 2 circular tables with 2 olden age toasters that haven’t been replaced since the 1930’s, bread still in their bags, some fruits, yoghurt and croissants. Oh my, i’ve never seen that before, we thought we were in a concentration camp. I don’t get why people rate this hotel a 9/10 on trip. Also 4 star hotel? What is the criteria for that?? Either they are bots or AI. I would stay somewhere else for sure. Not worth the money. If I can get my money back, I would ask for them.
Nice and clean, convenient pitt stop for late evening travelling to/from philip island to catch the penguin parade. Comfy bed with spacious room, and good quality toiletries.
OK for an overnight stay but quite dated and needs a little maintenance. |The bed (rm 23) was pretty awful and there was rubbish and paper on the floor. |The staff were pleasant enough but this place is straight out of the 80s.
No complaints at all—it’s super convenient to visit around the area. The room is also spacious and comfortable.
Stayed one night. Room super clean, loved decor, bed was comfortable and we had a peaceful sleep. Location is great, 5 mins walk , you also get food. A few minutes drive and you get much more food, the Botanical Gardens and Cranbourne Park shopping centre. I love this shopping centre! Continental breakfast was complimentary and they had a variety of spreads. Generous breakfast. We had lunch and dinner in the hotel bistro. Food was delicious, great choice , great service. The manager is such a humble and friendly man. He goes around and sees to it that everyone is happy and satisfied. He even helps to bring the food to the table, that's so sweet.||Lovely place, will be back.
We stopped a night here between Phillip Island and GOR. Great stay, staff all lovely. Room nice and spacious, bathroom also big. Beds really comfy. Area, you’re on a main road so nowhere really to walk to eat so we ate on site which was ok for one night. Breakfast in morning is pre-packaged continental but there is a toaster so nice to make own fresh toast plus we were offered individually made coffees which was a nice touch. Would recommend.
