Spare Chef Catering

We had Spare Chef (Robyn and the team) cater for our wedding, and they were nothing short of incredible. Despite everything the day threw at them…torrential rain, soggy and muddy grass, a van that nearly got bogged, and even power outages…they handled it all with the biggest smiles and the most wonderful attitude. From the very beginning, communication with Robyn was fantastic. She was organised, friendly, and so easy to work with, which made the lead-up to our day completely stress-free. On the day itself, the whole team was just lovely - warm, professional and absolutely unflappable. They catered beautifully for our vegan and gluten-free guests and everyone is still raving about how delicious the food was. Honestly, they went above and beyond in every possible way. We couldn’t be more grateful and would recommend them in a heartbeat. Thank you Robyn and the team, for helping make our wedding unforgettable.

Tanna and the team were fantastic. It was like a well oiled machine, they came in and took control which was wonderful and I felt like I didn’t need to do anything. The food was absolutely delicious and everyone at the party commented on how good it was. Even ensuring the GF guests were identified and looked after. Service was great with a good stream of food coming out (I was so full I didn’t try everything) It felt like nothing was an issue if we asked. I couldn’t fault a single thing and would highly recommend the team at Spare Chef to anyone.

We used Spare Chef Catering for an Awards event, and they were fantastic from start to finish. The team was incredibly friendly and easy to work with, making the whole planning process stress-free. On the day of the event, their service was professional and seamless, and most importantly, the food was delicious (with particularly generous portions). I can't recommend Spare Chef enough!

Honestly the best food and the best service. Everything was absolutely delicious and so well prepared - you could tell real care went into every dish and it was exactly like home cooked food, so yum. They catered perfectly to gluten-free requirements and were more than happy to accommodate extras, which made the whole experience completely stress-free. Communication was excellent, pickup was easy, and the quality exceeded expectations absolutely stoked our fam loved it. This was hands down some of the best catering we've had. We will 100% be using this company again and recommending them to everyone. Thank you for making it so easy and so enjoyable! Best last minute idea I had to use the Spare Chef instead of cooking ourselves. It just made the few days over Christmas stress free and simple and enjoyable 🤗

Wow the food that Spare Chef makes! From the very first email to the day before to the day of our wedding, the whole team at Spare Chef made the process easy, calm, and of course, delicious! They worked with all our preferences, took everything in their stride, and were incredibly professional. The food was absolutely amazing and they helped with every little detail, which is definitely something you want on a big anticipated day like your wedding day! Perfect day!! Spare chef catered for our wedding and everything was just perfect. Two weeks later and I still have people coming to us asking who did the food at the wedding because it was the best they've ever had!! The food was simple yet sophisticated. Generous in quantity. Dietary requirements were catered for expertly and the wait staff were wonderful seeking out those with allergies and dietary requests. We had housemade pies, bahn mi's, local prawns, some beautiful bruschetta, mini burgers and lots of other things. Our perfect day was perfectly catered for and we couldn't fault the team at spare chef. 10 out of 10 score easily!!!

We recently had Spare Chef catering for my Dad's 90th birthday party. The food was amazing and the whole event was a huge success thanks to the team at Spare Chef. They delivered the food hot and ready to eat. It looked amazing and everyone commented on how good it was. Cannot recommend them highly enough!! Wonderful food and service
