Roza Restaurant Mandi

SERVICE: 🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴 (RATING: -5 / 5) Unfortunately, my second visit was a very disappointing experience. We ordered two chicken mandi and one lamb mandi. The staff member confirmed the order and went to the kitchen, but after 30 minutes she returned asking whether we had ordered at all. Another 15 minutes later, a different staff member approached us asking how much we had paid, but couldn’t explain what went wrong. We were eventually told our order "got misplaced" because of an incorrect table number. ​Meanwhile, every other table around us was served water and attended to promptly, while our table was consistently overlooked. ​This is my second visit, and based on how differently we were treated, I couldn’t help but feel the front-of-house staff member was not comfortable serving us especially compared to how she treated other tables. I hope this wasn’t intentional, but the contrast was noticeable. ​The service needs serious improvement better communication, proper order tracking, and consistent treatment of all customers. ​FOOD: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ The food here is genuinely good — that’s why I came back for a second visit. However, good food cannot save a bad experience.

We ordered the Lamb Mandi and the food was absolutely amazing. The lamb was very tender, fell off the bone easily, and the serving size was generous, definitely great value and delicious. However, the customer service needs improvement. When we entered, no one greeted us or acknowledged us with even a simple hello or smile. We tried to figure out where to sit or order, but the staff avoided eye contact, so we just chose our own table. I went to the counter to ask for a menu, and the staff member simply handed it over without saying a word. Our order took more than 30 minutes to arrive, and even after following up, no apology was given. Overall, the food is excellent, but the service really takes away from the dining experience. If they improve customer service, this place could easily be a top recommendation.

Went to Roza Restaurant after indoor soccer with 11 of the boys. Honestly one of the best times I’ve had at a restaurant. They have normal table seating, but we asked for the traditional floor seating and it made the experience even better. It felt authentic and perfect for a big group. The food was full of flavour and the portions were generous. They also had free refillable Yemeni coffee, which was a great bonus. Great atmosphere, great food, and great memories. Definitely recommend.

It's always been a pleasure eating in this restaurant. Their Mandi, soup, and the new inclusion of Compressed are purely awesome. And you can not miss the tea. I've been going their for last 7 years and will continue to do so.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Roza Restaurant — Lamb Mandi That Raises the Bar I recently tried the lamb mandi at Roza in Coburg, and wow t’s one of those meals that makes you want to come back every week. The lamb is fall-off-the-bone tender, richly spiced in a way that hits you just right: aromatic cardamom, cinnamon, subtle pepper not over-the-top, but deeply flavourful. The rice bed beneath is fluffy, generously portioned, and infused with just enough saffron (and the other spices) that each bite is satisfying. What elevates the experience even more: the complimentary lamb broth style soup as a starter. It’s fragrant, warming, and introduces the meal beautifully. Then there’s the self-service tea (chai / karak) at the counter sweet, comforting, a perfect end-note to the meal. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming; the decor leans traditional, with Arabic music adding ambience. The service is friendly and attentive even when the place is busy. And despite popularity and a good crowd most nights, the wait is worth it. If you love authentic Middle Eastern Mandi this is pure joy for the senses. Roza nails it. Highly recommended.

Best mandhi I've had since coming back from India. Lamb mandhi was incredible, just wish it was a different sauce, and not plain sour cream with it.
