Bromley’s Bread Carnegie

Fantastic pastries with a crunchy shell and buttery inside. The chocolate hazelnut croissant is insanely good! They are definitely the stand out. The olive sourdough was very nice but surprisingly very salty (more than other olive loaves I normally get). It also wasn’t very sour at all… very mild. My biggest gripe is the prices. The loaf was similar size to a small loaf from another small bakery, but twice the price. The pastries, while really nice, aren’t quite yet on the level of one of the most popular bakeries in the eastern suburbs… but they are priced there. I hate making price a decision point for a removing a star, especially in these times with wages rising, staff shortages, and businesses having struggled for so long. However, the prices are high enough to send me to some of my other go to bakeries regularly and only mix this one in a few times a year. For reference, Our normal order of 3 pastries and one loaf of sourdough cost $28 dollars here, $10-12 dollars more than the other local fresh bakery we visit for the same order. For those who splurge more regularly or are less price sensitive, go for it, you won’t regret it!

Lovely staff, great coffee and pastries.

I’ve been a few times to support all cafes in the area and can’t say I love anything about this one. But the last time when i was hit with coffee that tasted like microwave milk and grumpy service in the early morning, i was like.. this doesn’t feel right. The owner might need to reflect on their staff. Especially the barista that wears the bandanna, you’re being paid to provide a decent service.

My favourite coffee bakery shop in the area. I enjoy mixed berry Danish and Almond Croissant most. There are plenty of product range with freshness that I can choose from as well. Must try. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Great bakery. Huge range and plentiful supply given its commercially made. Pastries were super fresh, and sourdough bread is the quality you'd expect for $9. There's tables out front where coffee is served in a proper cup. Service has improved hugely.

Amazing to see Bromley's in Carnegie now. Expect top notch pastries and breads. Really the best Melbourne offers at the moment!

This shop opened up around the corner from me recently. Absolutely brilliant! Great, fresh baked ARTISAN bread. That word artisan is overused in the bakery business it seems - but it applies here and lives up to my highest expectations.
