Monkey Place Catering

Monkey Place recently catered a wedding that I attended, and I did not make it easy for them. I'm currently on a very restrictive low-FODMAP diet and am still in the elimination phase which means I cannot eat a lot of foods very commonly used in standard cooking. I had no expectation that I was going to have anything spectacular to eat, I'm pretty handy in the kitchen and it's difficult for me sometimes to cook for myself. Not only did Chef Ben contact me the week before the wedding to get details on my dietary requirements but the canapes and dinner that I had were spectacular and balanced. The level of care that Chef and his staff showed really blew me away. I cannot say it emphatically enough but they really went above and beyond for a single guest. On top of that, everyone else absolutely loved their food as well. Monkey Place really made me feel comfortable for the first time in a long time to eat out of home. I felt safe, I felt heard, I felt cared for, and the food itself was delicious. 5/5, cannot recommend you highly enough. Thank you so much for everything again.

Wooooow! The food cooked by Ben is unreal. We had our wedding at Adams Peak 2 weeks ago and the food was amazing - everyone commented on it!! Ben went above and beyond and personalized our dinners as bride and groom - I am a fussy eater so this was perfect for me and so delicious. The chicken satay skewers deserve a special shout out. We always worry that chicken can be dry but this was so juicy and with a little kick that was to die for. Highly recommend!!

Ben and his team catered for our wedding at Adam's Peak. I can't recommend them enough. The feedback from the guests was amazing, not only with the high quality of the food but also the professional and courteous staff. I will definitely use Monkey Place again for any future events.

Chef Ben and the team from Monkey Place Catering were absolutely incredible! The food was outstanding. The lamb was amazing, the chicken was tender, and the cauliflower was a huge hit. We had some vegan guests as well and they couldn’t stop raving about their meals. Beyond the delicious food, Ben went above and beyond to look after us and made sure all of our vendors (even our babysitter!) were well fed, which we really appreciated. The service, care, and quality were second to none. We’re so grateful to have had Ben and his team be part of our wedding and would recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional catering.

Ben and the MP Team are just fantastic! They catered our wedding and guests could not stop talking about the food! The canapes were just perfect and we all loved the pani puri - so tasty and so fun! The lamb and chicken was the best!! They made all guests with dietary requirements feel reassured that their needs were met and gave them some amazing alternatives! I recently had the pleasure of being a guest at a friend’s wedding that Monkey Place catered for. I have multiple dietary requirements and allergies, Chef Ben went above and beyond to ensure I was confident that everything I ate was safe for me. His team were informed and made me feel comfortable each time food was offered around. Thank you Monkey Place catering, being able to eat delicious food and feel confident that what I was eating wouldn’t be an issue helped me relax and enjoy the wedding.

Ben and the Monkey Place team are absolutely incredible! We had our wedding catered by Monkey Place in April 2025 and could not be happier with the outstanding food and service MP provided!! We received so many compliments on the food, both on how delicious it was and how generous the portion sizes are. We went with the shared style option which had such incredible choices. Ben's consultations we're so helpful in designing our menu and making the process smooth and simple for us! Aside from canapés and the mains, we also had Monkey Place provide our wedding cake and doughnuts for dessert. All of which was an absolute hit!! Ben also catered our recovery brunch the next day with another perfect meal, again earning endless compliments from our guests. I absolutely cannot recommend Ben and the Monkey Place team highly enough!
