Customer Reviews
La Boucherie French Restaurant has a rating of 4.5 out of 5 based on over 698 reviews on Google
Felt a little disappointed consider the raving reviews. And price range. Service attentive and helpful. Saw a lot of review regarding waiting time, but the food came out after we are seated 20mins. Waitress came to check how we are twice. Overall the dishes are often rather cold and lack finase in its presentation consider the price range. In terms of each dish: we ordered their $2 oyster deal. It's fresh but it's the smallest Sydney rock I've ever seen (see photo for proof). Roasted bone marrow with beef tartare was good. Foie gras was good. Roast Cauliflower was nice but not hot enough. Onion soup is a bit bland. The rib eye taste good but the confet duck is rather disappointing. EDIT: This is my honest review. Interestingly I mentioned in my review that it took 20 mins for food to arrive was meant to be a compliment (since many review complained about the wait) yet the owner's response is distasteful and unnecessary. Please look at how they respond in ALL lower rating reviews and realise this is a pattern of hostility. I am so sorry but I would find it very uncomfortable to return again. EDIT 2: Soon after I put the edited part, the owner deleted their response. It's okay. I hope you know that you can just focus on making good food and people will come by the reputation you build. The food will speak louder than your replies on reviews. Take care.
It used to be my favourite local restaurant in the Hills area, so I was really disappointed when I visited for Valentine’s Day. 1. Food We ordered the French onion soup, risotto, duck and roast carrot. Unfortunately, none of the dishes felt worth the price being charged. The onion soup was watery and far from what you would expect from an authentic one. The risotto (at over $40) was underwhelming — honestly, I’ve had better at a local RSL. The roast carrots were mediocre and was badly put together (just some greek yogurt and honey on top). Given the pricing, the overall quality was disappointing. 2. Wait time There was about an hour’s wait between our entrée and mains. A friend dining at the same time waited for even longer. 3. Service Service was poor. My water sat empty for more than 30 minutes and I had to repeatedly ask staff for refills. It’s sad to see how much the restaurant has declined since the change in ownership. I hope they take this feedback seriously and improve
A few weeks ago I attended La Boucherie to experience their 10 course degustation menu. Great friends, great conversation, great food. It was a good time to go in the post Christmas lul. Although I don’t really eat seafood the Chef catered for that with exquisite switch ins, which I really appreciated. Overall a highly enjoyable experience.
Came here for my fiance's birthday dinner and we got the set menu. Hands down one of the best French dining experiences we've ever had! The shiraz was sublime - so smooth and refined. The toasted baguette was so crispy and delicious, the steak tartare was moreish, the escargot was well seasoned and rich, the steak was cooked to perfection, and the creme brulee was a perfect balance of citrus and cream. Highly, highly recommend this place for a nice French dinner. We look forward to trying all the other offerings on their menu. Parking is convenient behind the store.
LOVE IT!! 💯 Every dish we ordered was amazing! The BEST steak I have ever tasted, literally perfection. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to come back!
Vraiment exceptionnel! Everything was perfect, service from the two girls was amazing but the food was just fantastic. Especially the escargots which are hard to find. I will definitely return every time I am in the area and would recommend this place to everyone. 5 stars all around.
Had dinner with my wife for her birthday here, ordering the escargot to start, followed by a steak for me and confit duck for the missus. The escargot was great, but the star of the show for me was the steak. It was perfectly seasoned and absolutely phenomenal. Only regret was that I wish I had ordered the 350g! The confit duck was also great, though may need to have some extra on the side for hungrier folks.
