I had the most wonderful experience with Queenie! Having bought a sample 1 size larger, Queenie altered the waistline perfectly while keeping the integrity of the design. She made recommendations for the alteration that enhanced the design, for example the way the train should be cut so I looked elongated rather than wide. She also wrangled my huge train to bustle inside the skirt which looked amazing at the reception. My sister, who works in the bridal industry, was so impressed with Queenie’s knowledge and said a seamstress that is confident enough to mark directly onto the fabric is a sign of a great seamstress!! In disappearing pen of course 😉 Thank you for making me feel like the best version of myself on my wedding day!!

I'm so glad to have entrusted my wedding dress alteration to Queenie. She is a very experienced seamstress and designer with an incredible eye for detail. The moment she saw me in my dress for the first time, she immediately knew what needed to be done. I expressed my concerns about walking down some steps at my ceremony so she gave me some useful suggestions, such as shortening the front hem and sewing the layers of fabric and train together to facilitate movement. The altered dress turned out amazing and fitted me like a glove. I could walk in it with ease and confidence on my wedding day (without tripping), thanks to the thought and little details Queenie put into altering it. Queenie was fantastic to deal with! My dress had to be taken in quite a bit when I received it and therefore needed quite a few alterations. Could not be more thrilled with the meticulous and tasteful work Queenie did on my Berta wedding gown. I was so nervous entrusting anyone with my dress, which was very delicate and of course an extremely valuable item for me, but Queenie was a dream come true - her attention to detail, her design understanding and the quality of her work were outstanding and I would recommend her to anyone!

My dress required quite a few alterations—particularly around the bust, waist, and hips—and Queenie took the time to really listen to my vision and how I wanted to feel in the dress. She made sure I felt both comfortable and beautiful on the day. The length was adjusted perfectly, and she also added a bustle that was both practical and elegant. Throughout the process, she was incredibly attentive and focused on getting the right fit in all the right places. Queenie was so great to work with. I bought my dress at a shop in Melbourne and took it to her to be altered. She did a fantastic job making sure it fit me exactly how I wanted it to. She also added a better bustle than what it came with so it sat better. I only saw her once for a fitting, then next time I went it was ready to be taken home and it was perfect. This was fantastic as I was travelling from Ballarat. She was really quick and accurate with a lot of attention to detail. I wish I had of just gone to Queenie in the first place to make my dress.
