Mount Druitt Newsagency
📍 Bridal shops in Mount Druitt
Address presents itself as a modest yet functional bridal shop in Australia, offering essential wedding attire and accessories. The selection appears practical, catering to those seeking straightforward solutions without elaborate frills. However, inconsistencies in service quality have been noted, particularly in areas like transaction accuracy and customer communication.
While the store claims a long-standing reputation, past interactions suggest a disconnect between its advertised standards and real-world execution. Issues such as misplaced items and unclear policies may leave shoppers questioning reliability. For budget-conscious brides, it may serve as a basic option, but expectations of seamless service should be tempered.

Yesterday, I visited Mount Druitt News Agency to check if I had won the OZ Lotto, for which the results were declared on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. I had purchased a syndicate ticket for $14.60, which covered 50 games. The middle-aged woman at the counter took my ticket, told me I had won nothing, and then threw it into her bin. When I asked for my ticket back, she handed me a ticket for 100 games, which was not mine. I had specifically purchased a syndicate ticket for 50 games. In my experience, syndicate tickets always win at least a small amount, even if it is just a few cents. It has never happened before that a syndicate ticket won absolutely nothing. The woman’s behavior seemed suspicious, and I believe she cheated me out of my rightful winnings. I suspect the syndicate won a significant amount, which is why she deceived me. I strongly believe that the newsagent’s license should be revoked, and I should receive my rightful prize money.
I had an Ebay item sent to the news agency for pick up and they deny that it is there, even though I have confirmation that it is there. Showed them confirmation that I have received and still deny this.... I have tried to call them again and their number is disconnected. They claim "40 years of experience and great customer service", not sure where they are getting that from
I went to News agency express shop to collect money on behalf of western money union. The lady ( apparently she is the owner of the shop) told me that I need to pay $5 fees to collect money from western union. The lady or any sales person do not showing their names as customer service. The lady was so rude and trying to rip off me. I will complain to fair trading and financial ombudsman for their ripping off mentality because sender already paid the fees when sending money with western union. I highly recommend not to shop from this news agency. The customer service and attitude are not Australian Standatd and this is non Australian attitude. Very disappointing and poor customer service. The lady was even not providing her name.
Upon buying my preselected syndicate PowerBall tickets I made a mistake by giving the wrong barcode resulting in the wrong tickets being issued. I apologised and asked to have those 7 tickets cancelled and was met a disgusted look and a spray from one of the ladies. I apologised and told them it’s a simple fix as I used to work for a news agency and still was met with another small spray. Honestly I had thought of taking my $388 for my lottery tickets to another vendor but then I was apologised to by the lady. These guys need some training on how to talk to customers. Looks like I’m one more of the many negative reviews here.
Staff members were extremely mean and unhelpful, with one of them even rudely shouting to answer a question. Sold a display item with a damaged box and refused to lower the price even though it was their last item. Would not even allow us the time to look at the product before we were pressured to buy it. Incredibly unprofessional. Will be avoiding this new agency in the future.
The male staff member is unnecessarily rude and lacks customer service skills. He was wearing disposable gloves to protect himself (reasonable given the current COVID-19 pandemic), however, he repeatedly blew his nose whilst serving customers and did not change his gloves or sanitise his hands. This made me uncomfortable as he was clearly displaying symptoms. When it was my turn to be served I politely asked if he could please change his gloves before touching the items I was purchasing to which he responded the register was unavailable to me and waved me away. To say I was shocked is an understatement. The staff member showed a complete disregard for the health and safety of customers and was only concerned with his own wellbeing. Beyond disrespectful.
Poor customer service, poor English. They sold me the wrong Opal card and now they can't fix the issue after I tried to immediately return it after I was clear in what I asked for. They refused to take responsibility although I had the proof of purchase. Appalling staff attitude.
