I’ve been having my hair done since I was a little girl and have been lucky to experience some wonderful hairdressers across Australia. That said, I can honestly say that Mel at Lux & Co is one of the very best hairdressers — and salon owners — I’ve ever had. No challenge is ever too big for Mel. Her expertise and knowledge of hairdressing are exceptional, and her attention to detail truly sets her apart. She delivers outstanding customer service and is always calm, professional, and solution-focused — even on the rare occasion when something needs adjusting. I’ve followed Mel wherever she has worked because her service, quality, and warm, genuine nature make every appointment such a positive experience. I trust her completely, and my hair will stay in her hands for as long as she continues sharing her incredible talent.

Luxe n co hair is amazing! Mel LISTENS to what I want, and I can count on advice that shows her hairdressing experience and knowledge. She's gone above and beyond to ensure I'm happy with my cut, colour etc. And I've always found her friendly & welcoming, too.

After another hairdresser trashed my hair I was recommended Mel by a friend. She literally saved me from months of hiding inside with hideous ‘blending’ that was not blended at all. Mel not only fixed the previous damage but managed to get my hair to exactly where I wanted it in the first place. Cannot recommend enough!! Thanks again Mel, see you every 6 weeks for the next 30 years 😂

Mel, owner of Luxe n co hair, is an amazing hairdresser! I’ve been a client of hers for 15 years. She takes the time to know what you want to achieve with your hair. She has a wealth of knowledge in hairdressing and is very talented. You are always in good hands with Mel.

Mel is amazing!!! I tried so many hairdressers in Townsville and no one seemed to be able to do an ash blonde. Highly recommended!
