I have found Marilena to be an exceptional dressmaker whose craftsmanship is truly unmatched. Her attention to detail is extraordinary, each piece she has created for me is a masterpiece and working with her is a joy. Her warmth, patience and professionalism have made the entire experience unforgettable. Apart from being unmatched in expertise, Marilena is one of the kindest souls you’ll meet.

Marilena made the wedding dress of my dreams. We went through a really thoughtful design process and got exactly what I wanted, she brought the whole picture together so well! Very well priced too. Happy with the entire experience.

Marilena is a professional. From the initial discussion about the sort of style I would like for my mother of the bride dress (I had done some resarch and had an idea of design) , she was considerate of my age, shape, colouring and style. She was able to create a dress that felt comfortable and chic - not at all dowdy or frumpy, which can happen when you are of a 'certain age'. The fabric Marilena provided was a perfect colour and weight. Many positive comments from wedding guests on the day. Yes, this is an expensive process - but compared with off the peg designer dresses (also expensive) - it was well worth it to have a unique dress. No way I would see this walking towards me on someone else. Marilena is a perfectionist and will insist on tweaking if she is not happy with the product, or if you have concerns. Be prepared for a number of fittings :-). Don't leave things to the last minute! Thank you Marilena

Marilena recently made me a set (top and palazzo pants) using 1980s vintage fabric. I love it - it fits perfectly, and Marilena incorporated my specific requests for pockets and an elasticised waist. Marilena was delightful to work with. As others have said, it’s expensive, but it’s great to know there are talented makers like Marilena in the inner west!

5 stars for Marilena! We came to her in desperation and inspiration, we needed 8 custom suits for our staff (we are a funeral business) and we had very specific requirements. We needed suits that were going to need to be worn every day, in all elements, rain-hail-shine, that would look polished and detailed in every condition These suits needed to fit a variety of size women (8-20size), and be quite giving and flexible to allow us to move and do our job elegantly and efficiently (our job can be very physical) Marilena, from the first appointment, knew exactly what we needed. After explaining all of this she worked hard to source the EXACT colour match for fabric which was consistent with our company image.. This was very important to us. She made the ladies feel happy and comfortable in their skin when gathering measurements and sizes, and she was attentive to each Individual needs and sizes. Marilena is a proper dress maker and she knows her job well. She is experienced and fast working. Her stitch work is fantastic, the details on our suits are incredible and we get so many compliments each and every day we wear them. Marilena was so helpful when I contacted her to make my wedding dress for a simple family wedding. She took on board my vague ideas to create a really beautiful dress. Perfection! I have had many dresses made by Marilena over the years. She first made me a pair of beautiful trousers for my wedding. Recently I put on a dress I hadn't worn in a couple of years made by her. I had forgotten how well she designs dresses and her amazing attention to detail. I forgot how perfectly her dresses fit. .
