We went to the Brickvention (Lego exhibition) in the Royal Exhibition Building and what a fun experience! The entry was in a time slot if 20 mins and free to stay as long as you wish till the end. We had to wait for about 20 mins to go in. Amazed by the magnificent builds and interactions are nice. We loved the oriental express and racing game. A gorgeous exhibition in a wonderful building!

10/10 must book the promenade, visiting The Royal Exhibition Building, a living, breathing heritage 🤩. The architecture was superb, preservation work still ongoing, applauding initiatives maintaining. The view from the top, watching over Carlton Gardens was exceptional ❤️ A view one must see with their own eyes. Love it, love the guide too. Sparkling! 💎

Enjoyed our tour of the Royal Exhibition Building run by the Melbourne Museum. Ran for about an hour and a half. Guided tour took the group through the grond floor and basement before going up onto the roof. A lift was available for any who needed it we didn't realise there were eight flights of stairs up but made it!

I came here on two occasions. First time was a guided tour, and the second was the big design market. It was a joy to learn about the history of this building and how it was built. The tour also allowed me to go up to the top of the building as well as the basement. I loved the building’s murals and I wish I could’ve stayed a little longer - but the tour was only for one hour. If you are a history buff, this is a must-go! The second time I was here was for the big design market - everything was Aussie-designed / aussie-made, and there were loads of interesting stalls and foods to try. I had an absolute smashing time here!

Such a beautiful place to spend a peaceful afternoon! The Royal Exhibition Building looks stunning — the architecture is just amazing, especially with the fountains in front. The Carlton Gardens around it are so calm and green, perfect for a walk, photos, or just sitting by the pond watching the ducks. It’s one of those spots that makes you slow down and enjoy the moment. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Melbourne! 🌿✨

Beautiful building. I've attended several events here (usually Brickvention) and always found myself admiring the architecture and the internal decoration. It's a huge, beautiful, open space and a fantastic event venue. And the proximity to the beautiful Carlton Gardens and the Melbourne Museum makes it an easy location to include on a trip into Melbourne.
