This is a larger club with lots of spaces to relax, drink and eat. There is a bistro and Cafe as well as a large area to sit and enjoy your meal. The main access is from the car park at the side bur there is also a door on the main road side. There are many photographs to view and they often have live shows.
The girl behind the restaurant counter was extremely rude to me. I honestly wasn’t sure if I had said something wrong, or if she just didn’t like me. When I was paying for dinner, I asked if they made margaritas. She replied abruptly with "no," so I left it at that, thanked her, and moved on. I then asked the bar staff the same question, and they were lovely—saying "of course" and happily taking my order. They even offered to bring it over once it was ready. All good—I got my marg and was happy. Dinner arrived shortly after. I had ordered the beef cheeks and my friend ordered the chicken. The same girl who had served me earlier brought my meal, but mine was cold while my friend’s was fresh and hot. I considered taking it back but decided to just eat it as it was. The whole experience left a sour taste—not because of the food itself, but because of the attitude of the girl behind the counter. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning. Nice fountain though.
Brothers Leagues Club in Cairns has lots of history on display, which was nice to see. We waited a while to sign in as the lovely receptionist was also having to run the bottle shop at the same time. The food was average, although the membership did save us 10%. Overall, not in a massive hurry to return.
Loved everything about this club; we joined. The coffee, excellent! Other drinks, excellent! Breakfast, lunch and cakes all excellent. We had breakfast/brunch 3 days, dinner, salads, slices etc., all very good. Staff and service, very good to exceptional. The exception was the catered sit down 3 course dinner at our event. It was expensive but ordinary; bruschetta was soggy, main meals were either overcooked and too hard to eat (not sure even a steak knofe would have helped) and / or cold (fish) which my friend did not eat. Service was odd, clearing plates first, from last tables served, peculiar at best. Prawn entree seemed well liked. Dietary needs were not accomodated as 'booked'. Both desserts seemed well received, mine was lovely. Decor appropriate and very good, suitable for occasion. We know you were capable of so much better as we enjoyed everything else you provided for a full 5 days.
Would like to leave a 5 star review for Debbie who looked after our table while dining at Fratelles. She is friendly, professional with a bubbly attitude made dining in with 3 small children effortless. Food was yummy Thank you for your kindness. Happily return with this level of service. Many thanks Andrews family
I really wish I could make a positive review. Unfortunately I can not. I got chicken wings that tasted like plastic and my kids (who are big not fussy eaters) couldn't even finish their burgers. Hubby enjoyed his steak though. I do not feel this environment is good for kids. The lay out is very complicated, there was no clear sign as to were to order food. It all feels really dated. The staff were mostly really good though and I could see they were making an effort.
Unfortunately the service has deterioted .I was a good customer and gentleman always saying please and thankyou. Sunny always recognised me and looked after me. Today my friend and I complained about the quality of service and told to leave. Extremely poor service by untrained lazy staff.
