Rusty Gate Grove Bar & Winery

First day of reopening and first time visit for my husband and I. It is such a beautiful venue with yummy food, coffee and service that compliments it. If you are in the area you definitely need to visit or even if you're not it's still worth the trip! We will be back for sure and can't wait for their dinner menu 😋

It was wonderful to go to a venue that offered something different to the usual dinner options! It is a beautiful location, with an ambient and warm atmosphere, and the staff seem to all want to make your experience a memorable one! I was truly impressed of the standards of service and food provided. Will definitely be back soon! Even just for a delicious coffee xx

We are staying at Woodgate Beach and drove 25 mins to have lunch at Rusty Gate today. It’s a beautiful spot. The tables under the trees remind me a little of the Da Paolini lemon tree restaurant on Capri. The food was excellent, with an amazing fig salad and risotto. We also tried the fish - which was cooked in an incredibly light batter made from Kalki Moon Vodka. (Kalki Moon is a local Bundaberg firm winning awards globally). Service was timely, with well informed Melbourne and French wait staff. We hesitantly tried a local Verdelho wine and it was surprisingly good. It’s great to see this region slowly transform into a foodie destination!

Rachael and I had our wedding here on the 6th September 2025, I venue is amazing, the staff were fantastic to deal with from our first meeting right up to our special day, the food was next level if anyone is thinking of a wedding venue do yourself a favour and give these guys a call..

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The coffee was tepid and the Special Salad turned out to be a stew swimming in chilli sauce - not what I was expecting and I was unable to eat it.

We recently had our wedding at Rusty Gate Grove. The location was perfect, everything flowed smoothly. Bay Fusion did the catering & the food was incredible. We couldn’t rate them more highly for a function or event

We celebrated my husband's 60th at this fabulous venue and had a fantastic evening with our family. Great service especially from our lovely two waitresses and our maitre d', Geoffrey. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Well worth a visit, definitely be back soon.
