I could not have asked for a better service, Chris did an absolutely amazing job! With everything, the lead up to the ceremony, assisting us with all the paperwork, never getting tired of repeating himself with our many many questions, with our rehearsal wedding and at the ceremony! He helped keep us claim and focused, he made us and everyone else laugh and enjoy the ceremony, he was full of reassurance, respect, patience and comfort throughout the entire process. All of our family and friends absolutely adored him, praising us for making such a great choice in celebrant. I would not have it any other way! He was a big part of our special day and I’m so truly great for it. 🥰💞 I very highly recommend simple weddings, it is really as they say! Simple yet absolutely amazing! ✨

We got married on the 27.11.2020. Christopher Steele { Marriage Celebrant ) was absolutely brilliant. He made the whole marriage very easy, comfortable and relaxing. He added humour as well, which was a great touch. He would do all serious if that's all that was wanted or a bit of both. He was very good and quick to pick up on personality's and knew what was needed without a word from us. One of our guests was an elderly gentleman of 83 yrs stated to me after that he was quite concerned thinking it wasn't going to be personal enough and as he is old school didn't like the idea of office weddings, and has never been to one, but after it was done, he stated that he was absolutely amazed and blown away at how personal and professional it actually was, also stating that it was one of the best wedding ceremony's he'd ever attended and couldn't give enough praise.. Thank you for a great ceremony, ♥

Extremely disappointing experience. The staff were unhelpful and completely lacked communication throughout the process. I was clearly told that they would apply for my marriage certificate on my behalf. After waiting for two months, I followed up—only to be told I had to apply for it myself. No updates, no follow-ups, no accountability. Would not recommend their services to anyone looking for a smooth and stress-free experience.

Big thanks to Chris for delivering an efficient service for our elopement at Bonython Park recently. Everything was clearly explained and communicated via email & in person and he himself is quite the character. Just what we wanted.

Our plan changed for our wedding and our celebrant Chris from simple weddings was amazing. He managed to accommodate us on such short notice and did a beautiful ceremony. Chris was so easy going and made our day so special. Thank you again to Chris and Simple weddings for helping us have our day.

My husband and I had a great experience with Chris as our celebrant for our winery wedding in April 2023. Chris was happy to tailor the ceremony to our requests and made the process easy. Many guests have raved to us after the wedding that Chris did a fantastic job and had just the right amount of humor and talking in the ceremony, would definitely recommend for your special day.

Simple Weddings simply forgot our wedding! Administrative Failure by Simple Weddings ruined our special day. The process for a wedding in QLD appeared to be simple. My partner and I completed the NOIM form and received acknowledgement of it. We believed that it was simple we would arrive 15 minutes before our scheduled wedding on 20th January 12 pm. However, when we were there, the time gradually moved on and on and there was no indicator of what was happening. There was no board up or signage to even advise where the weddings in the Mercure were being held or a list of people on schedule to indicate if there was a delay. We felt at a loss of what to do since we were extremely uninformed. As a result, I contacted Simple Weddings on the contact number on the website and following a discussion with a staff member they confirmed that they could see our documentation and advised they would need to speak to someone else and call me back. In the meantime, a wedding had ended so we asked the celebrant and she advised our names were not on the list and this had happened before. She called Paul and advised us he would have to send the paperwork to her to print at home and come back with the certificates after her last wedding at 4pm. We ended up having our celebratory lunch before the wedding instead since they could only accommodate the wedding at 4:30pm. As a result, several of our guests could not make it due to previous appointments and our lunch was diminished by having this extremely stressful experience on a warm summer day. Instead of they topic being congratulations for our lunch it was "This must be stressful, how could this happen?" Eventually, we had our Ceremony at 4:30pm after an extremely long day but it was bittersweet given the failures by Simple Weddings. $300 not well spent in my opinion. The additional stress caused by their incompetence was not worth saving some money. I am truly disappointed in this outcome and despite if you want to reschedule a wedding you will incur a cost, if Simple Weddings cause this to happen to you - it would appear that there approach is to forget it even happened. The Celebrant was apologetic about the situation, but given Simple Weddings clearly failed at a Simple Wedding - they should've done more to remediate/compensate the situation given they did make our wedding memorable for all the wrong reasons due to their lack of competence. Maybe in future its best for them to charge a bit more and have procedures in place to avoid this happening to any other couple.
